Artillery's main purpose is not casualties, but to force the enemy to hunker down. They cant move, and the effect on morale is devastating. Many WW2 vets have said that artillery was the worst thing about war. Deafening explosions, dirt, wood and shrapnel flying everywhere, trees exploding and all you could do is huddle in your little pothole and hope for the best. And the bombardments last for a long time too. Hours and into days at a time.
@anzacwashington70504 жыл бұрын
@@rykehuss3435 That's late artillery doctrine. By around WWI artillery was like that. But gunpowder artillery began life as a weapon chiefly for causing large numbers of casualties at great range, and for causing serious structural damage. Artillery was used all the time in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries for annihilating enemy formations, especially cavalry, who were taller targets, and more vulnerable to large missiles. The days of week long barrages and guns of ranges of more than ten miles came very late in the lifetime of battlefield artillery, and while it did change the way the weapon worked, it hasn't completely changed its purpose or image.

But that weapon was never a railroad cannon, unlike Schwerer Gustav. That's a huge Gun.

Though, never as devastating as the revolver like monster cannon, the Father to Big Bertha, forgot it's name. That thing, when it started to shoot, would need atleast 20+ Nuclear reactors just to allow it to shoot without much drag... Or it would be slow or empty ALL energy reserves nearly instantly... EDIT: "Vulcan" The cannon i was talking about was the "Vulcan" takes up 30 nuclear reactors to keep it going steady, for just ONE Vulcan cannon. But it's super darn devastating too...

Noiiiiiiiiiice! I had a blueprint that would let me build forward with bots bit by bit and several walls thick with laser turrets. Would use that to push into alien territory. But hey that was years ago, waaaaay cooler toys now! Awesome man I love it

I don't know the game. I don't know what is happening in the video. KZbin recommended it 2am in the morning. Help.

Funny concept - but damn... that twitching back-and-forth made it hard on the eyes to watch. :)

That alone is the single coolest thing I have seen on this game. Well done sir, you get 1 internet cookie. Use it wisely.

I suggest you use 2 trains: One *Attack train* with all the guns that will be stationary & shooting stuff, and then another *Supply train* that goes back to base and gets more ammo for the attack train when needed.

You can't fit nearly as many shells on a cargo wagon as you can on an artillery wagon, so just moving the artillery train is better.

Waiiiit. Is this modded or has the game updated a LOT
@vyse1026 жыл бұрын
Non-modded, it's the vanilla game. Version 16.0. There's uranium, nuclear reactors, centrifuges, and nukes now as well.
@alexsiemers78986 жыл бұрын
Ryan Annis the nuclear stuff was 0.15. The artillery and new terrain is 0.16
