@@YamaKara I wonder if they can be fully replaced by at some point depending on how many speed upgrade one would research but that probably would need many buffer storages also would probably only work if you could influence the directions bots take like say you make a chain where roboport A only delivers to robo port B and B to C and maybe also fix a select number of logistic bots to a specific roboport well I clearly prefer bots cause it's easier lol but once I get back to building my current base imma dip into trains more and stop using one lane trains

@@aranox bots are fine for local items, but when your train is hauling ore from a 5+ minute away drive.... Trains are far superior to bots for travel. But maybe at upgrade 25+ bots are so turbo they are faster than trains.... Never thought of that to be honest.

Quick question for ya let’s say you have a very very long train run and you have multiple trains using the same path, do your place train signals intermittently on said path so that multiple trains can flow on the same train run? I’ve have it where I’ve got 2 trains using the same path to deliver oil but they won’t get onto the same long path until one of the trains has gotten off to the side at its train stop, off of the main path. It’s a double track not a single so trains can go both ways at once but they can’t go the same direction at once if that makes sense
@YamaKara
@YamaKara 3 жыл бұрын
Hmm. .. hard to answer here but possibly place your rail signals at intervals as long as your longest train is the correct answer. But... How long is long?

@dallashill23 3 жыл бұрын
@@YamaKara I think you’re right actually, I’m going to give that a try. Most of the train systems I see are those “city block” square style systems that have a lot of intersections and plenty of rail and chain signals in between every destination so that’s probably why trains flow so easily on that style. 👍🏻 but from your teachings I should be able to pull it off!

@YamaKara
@YamaKara 4 жыл бұрын
You don't NEED it but what it does is it looks down the multiple line directions and further makes the current chain system better by adding more increments, which if say a train was going near the intersection to activate one signal, to go to the Outpost, it wouldn't make ALL the other signals blocked. But you don't need it
