It can but negative x is, well, bad.

It's an equivalent expression but not the one he was looking for. You generally want the variable before the constant, reading it left to right.

holy shit I like to say I am reasonably good with maths, but for some fucking reason factorising has been a nightmare for me. This has just fuckin solved it. Thank crap for that!
