The measurement of "good" is based on the degree of conformity the person possesses, and their willingness to obey. Ask someone, does a good person run a stop sign? Nearly everyone will answer in the negative. But that's an irrational position, what's the scenario? If you're on an empty road with visibility around the corners, why stop? Just to obey?

6:00 - I thought the authoritarian personality leads people to be more likely to conform/ obey.

IMO, those who allow others to influence when, where and how to think and act are simply incapable of critical thought and are quite happy to follow the follower and conform to the norm. This indoctrinated mind set and robotic life style is not only unhealthy but also oxymoron. An act becomes a habit when it no longer requires thought.

Critical thought? What do you know about critical thought? Lets be honest, it would probably be for best if you kept your yap shut on this matter, Jacqueline! This is a conversation for the adults in the room. I bet people with your IQ level are influenced by others all the time. Its a pretty common thing for dumb people to be manipulated by smart people.

4 Doctors and 4 Gardeners when it comes to our health decisions? Is that really a comparison? LOL I mean 1 Doctor's opinion is more likely to be believed than (insert any number here) Gardeners' opinions about health.

I think the idea is that they are presenting as doctors. That's why historically people in lab coats with clipboards are taken more seriously. I agree a better example might be "4 people in lab coats" vs. "4 people in dirty clothes with gardening shears".

Well in the US the average doctors salary is really high, but we have experienced no increase in life expectancy for 50 years and we are actually backsliding, so actually I'm not sure I believe most doctors these days.
