@@ruggedland you one up'd us by standing on that point at Moonscape Overlook. We talked about it but it looked too frightening. Happy adventuring in 2024.

An excellent video! Nice smooth drone footage as well. Did you continue on Cathedral Valley Rd? That was the road (I do believe) that took you to Factory Butte. If you didn't you missed some amazing things.

Thank you. That’s our only stop in front of Factory Butte as our stock SUV has limited clearance and we also want to check out Moonscape Overlook as the main attraction

I was there several years ago, but it had recently rained and I couldn't drive my 4WD pickup up to it. Those badlands, formed from deep water sediments from the time of the dinosaurs when a seaway extended from the North Pole to what is today the Gulf of Mexico, were just too slippery and treacherous to cross. To think that a seaway once was there with dinosaurs playing, living and dying in the swamps along the shores of this sea while huge marine reptiles swam in those seas.
