@andydoms2001 Because Mattel is deliberately trying to send Thomas to the scrapyard by decreasing the quality control (as well as the quality in general) of his toys.

Granted, some employees didn't pay much attention, and few of the products end up with mistakes done in the process. Factory Errors are made by accident, despite there being over thousand of the items well intact in other countries.
