Factory Five Customer Ron Everitt's Mk3 Roadster

Factory Five customer Ron Everitt visited the factory on Saturday, July 30, 2011 and talked to FFR President Dave Smith about his Mk3 Roadster that he built a few years ago. After their discussion, Ron handed Dave keys to take the car out for a quick drive.

I like that he went with a standard, tried and true 5.0 instead of mucking about with some power beast engine he's gonna have to feather around town so it doesn't kill him. This is the way to get on the road and driving the thing.

250? My spf puts down 460 whp (535 @ crank) it's amazing they are still that quick with half the power...

well if he got the engine from an 80s - early 90s mustang then no, the 93 SVT Cobra's 4.9 (which was marketed as a 302/5.0) put out 235 horsepower, in the 80s and 90s they didn't have horsepower like they did in the 60s, 70s, and like we do now so 235 was actually pretty good at the time, he could easily get 250 out of that engine by getting a new air intake and exhaust

Around the same power to weight ratio as a new mustang GT, so it's definitely not underpowered.

For a car that's about 2000 pounds, I'd say its perfect!

american engineering ... a normally aspirated engine should be able to put out between 75hp and 100hp/liter, so in this case, i'd be happy with 425hp. if you take a 80s m3, you'll notice that with 2.3 liters, it puts out just over 210hp (european models)

My mark 3 is the fastest , quickest and a blast to drive. It has full factory five independ supsension, and I’m a 69 year old kid that loves to show the younger guys what a race car is all about . Car has a Gordon levy motor 306 that will put hair in your teeth, with 365 hp that’s all you need. The weight and hp is the perfect match.oh by the way it is for sale my time is about up, I’ve had my fun🏁
