You need to enable the "Show feature previews" under FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options. Also you will need to verify that the "Advanced Mode" is checked.

It's commendable that you make these videos and the industrial automation guys should be grateful. But it's a shame for Rockwell that they don't make a video about FTOptix every day. Communication with the Micro800 should have been available since version 1.0. The conclusion is clear, FTOptix is an unfinished product that Rockwell does not pay much attention to. Formally he says yes, in reality it is not true.

I agree that the launch of FT Optix has not been the best and training and documentation is missing. But I do see Rockwell being fully committed to FT Optix and continuing to develop it.

Yep, the only documentation I am aware of is the built-in help files from the ? icon. Just in case if you are not aware, Rockwell has a public github repository with many sample Optix projects to download - a lot more than what is provided in FactoryTalk Hub: github.com/FactoryTalk-Optix
