I saw a cat food advertised for cats that was formulated to make the cats non-allergenic. I think you can find it at the pet stores (not the grocery store) and it might cost extra. I can't remember the name of it.

I rescued a Siberian kitten from the expressway over ten years ago and he’s still my best companion to this day! 😊 Cutest ball of fluff I’ve ever encountered. He’s also quite intelligent, too. Knows how to ask for treats or rubs by using one (or if it’s extra urgent) both of his paws to get my attention. Never uses his claws, just a gentle pressure on my leg or hand. It’s kinda strange gazing into his eyes because I can see him analyzing me in a very thoughtful way, almost as if I was looking at my best friend when I’m telling them something about my day. We rescued our boy and his mum was a little tabby girl - he came out super fluffy (the only male and one in the litter). We adopted him and he just kept growing...and growing and growing LOL Eventually they ended up finding the dad and fixing him and the vet said he was definitely maine coon. Anytime we bring him to the vet he is everyones fave as he has the "resting" face of the maine coon and is long, massive and beautiful. Sometimes when we get deliveries people comment on his sheer size. He is 7 years old now and is calmer but can be scared of people as he was abused. I love him so much and he was named King Leonidas! We recently adopted a little girl that is a Siberian/Siamese mix and they are 2 peas in a pod and look very similar minus facial features. Thank you for this video and sharing

I have a cream colored Neva Masquerade Siberian that came from the local animal shelter. Her foster mom thought she was a Maine Coon, and so did I at first (being a former Maine Coon owner)-but I thought, from her behavior and subtle things about her looks, this is the weirdest Maine Coon I have ever seen (especially her tail, which is not the big extravagant fluffy cancan dancer tail my Maine Coon had). One behavioral trait Siberian owners seem to recognize across the board: the Siberian Flop. Their back legs are longer than their front legs, and when they want to lie down, they flop down on the floor almost like fainting goats. It’s adorable. Their coats are kind of high maintenance during shedding season, but once you know it’s coming, you will be prepared and learn to get through it quickly. Treats always help!!

We rescued a kitty a few years ago. She's such a sweetheart ! Never been able to figure what breed she might be, or a mix, until this video. She is a brown mackerel tabby with symmetrical markings, and white paws and belly. Long bushy tail, thick maine, and long body. However, her face is much like a Siberian, and her ears are rounded but lack the wild tufts as a Cooney. The ears are separated by two widths. Your greatest clue was the top of the head ! Her fur is extremely short and sticks straight up. Too thin to comb. I viewed your Siberian Cat video as well. She seems to have all the character traits of both breeds. Wish I could send you photos. Yes, I was able to ID the breed of my cats by watching your video comparing Norwegian Forest Cats and Siberian cats. Turns out I have had Siberians for many years and did not know it. Thanks for the info. Siberians are great cats.

a cat came to my back porch blind with hunger. It was a small and wet lump of matted fur when we took it into our clowder. After he recovered, he seemed to blossom like a butterfly from it's cocoon or a flower from a bud and became a normal cat.. larger than any of the others. I took him in for a check-up. I thought he was a she because he was so docile but the vet.. after getting help to flip him over declared he was a fixed male. I still don't know were he came from.. nor can I understand why anyone would want to fix such a beautiful and valuable cat. He is either a Maine Coon or a Norwegian Forest cat.. he has the traits of both.. perhaps this is why his former owner decided not to breed him. I don't know.. and continue in my quest to find a distinguishing feature to finally name his breed. Either way.. a valuable and gentile giant joined my family and he is a welcome addition.

The Siberians that you see in Siberia are huge with super thick fur.If you can get one they are very expensive. I have a Maine coin they are great!

You know I'm about to get myself a Maine Coon imported from Russia. It's an expensive process but it's totally worth it they don't look like the ones in the US.

I've had breeders at cat shows tell me the Russian ones have more health issues. They had some shipped from Russia.

My local shelter calls all large long hairs Maine Coons. I always wondered how Maine Coons Ginger is, and finally got her genetics tested. From her appearance I suspected she was more Norwegian Forest Cat than MC. It turns out she's 11% Siberian and 7% MC. Surprisingly she has very little NFC. She is more Ragdoll and Russian Blue than NFC. Those were total surprises since she looks nothing like them except for having long hair like a Ragdoll. She also has a little Persian. She doesn't have much of a muzzle, but I don't think her face is as flat as a Siberian.

Great video, the main coons you’re showing are mostly Russian, or European. Not from USA ❤ up to $6k here. The head structure is what gives it away. Europeans have a non house cat look. The high cheekbones for example.

Don't you think it is a total lie that Siberian cats adapted the atmosphere just in one thousand years? Is it not some sort of light-speed-adaption of the surroundings? Why no other living thing could ever be that fast in adaption? That theory of environment adaption is a total BS.
