My Mom and I were one of Knot's Landing's Biggest Fans and never missed an episode!!! How I wish they would replay every episode back on television again instead of some of the junk that they have on t.v. today!!! Thank You The cast of Knot's Landing for coming into our Livingroom every Thursday night and filling it with such wonderful drama, God Bless You All for the hard work that you did making this show a success and for being one of the longest nighttime running soaps!!! The Cast and Crew will live forever in my heart!!!

They also failed to mention that Gary and Val reprised their roles for a few episodes on the new Dallas that still kept up with the continuity of Knots by saying they were still maried altho separated at the time and were still on the culdesac and that an episode of Knots was on a Friday at 11 in 1982 for the Dallas crosover of Jock's will
@ryanlemay62964 жыл бұрын
I get why Charlene would not want to leave the highly successful Dallas, but I think Lucy woud have been better utilized if she had moved to Knots Landing at some point. A lot of times on Dallas, especially after she became and adult, Lucy seems kind of wasted, often having plotlines separate from the other main characters. It would have cool to see how she would have inteacted with the Knots characters.

Dallas is currently streaming on both Prime Video and IMDB. And I think Dynasty is streaming somewhere also, if I’m not mistaken. Just don’t understand why Knots can’t be added as well. I wish Pluto TV would add a primetime soap channel. That would be awesome. I’ve heard different reasons over the years why KNOTS is so difficult to air in reruns or to be added to a streaming network. The most common one is the music rights from the time Lisa Hartman Black was playing Ciji. Too many royalties would have to be paid. Really? I can’t for the life of me at this point why anyone would still care. Knots has been off the air now for 27 years. We as fans deserve to see this wonderful show again. Side note: Somebody was posting full episodes from the first season here on KZbin last year, but that was abruptly stopped because this poster got caught and KZbin took them down.

The reason Dallas and Knots Landing never crossed over again cause of the Dream Season 9 of Dallas cause Bobby died and Knots devoted a whole season due to his death
@dannycarrington16014 жыл бұрын
2:09 is Doug Savant wearing a dark wig playing a young Mack in a flashback. Savant and Marcia Cross appeared together on "Melrose Place" and Nicollette Sheridan starred with them in "Desperate Housewives". 4:04 isn't Stacy Galina, it's Danielle Brisebois who originated the role of Mary Frances. Brisebois declined the chance to return to the series as a regular cast member to focus on her music career. "Knots Landing" stopped doing cross-overs with "Dallas" due to the "Dallas" plot that revealed Bobby Ewing's death was only a bad dream. The "Knots Landing" writers didn't want to their characters to be included in the dream scenario so there were no further references to "Dallas". Gary and Val do appear in the final episode of "Dallas" but only in a fantasy sequence where J.R. is shown what life would be like if he had never been born. The reason "Knots Landing" moved from 9:00 p.m. back to 10:00 p.m. in its eighth season was "Cheers" aired at 9:00 p.m. and clobbered "Knots Landing" (and anything else that was scheduled opposite it) in the ratings.
@radrobd1235 ай бұрын
Technically, Knots hadn't had any Dallas castmembers guest star since 4 years before the dream was revealed, although Ted Shackelford (Gary) did guest star on Dallas for one episode to attend Bobby's funeral

I know I’m late to this party, but I just bought all seasons of KL on Etsy for $65 and it came on a thumb drive. By H was able to transfer to computer and I’m watching via Plex on my tv. I don’t think they put more than two seasons on dvd. The rest seem to be taped from tv but I don’t care, it’s good to see it all again. The thumb drive also came with the specials after.

Donna mills starred on Barnaby Jones as a character named Abby, who was a devious, scheming lady. It's called portrait of evil, and is on KZbin. Coincidence or inspiration for knots landing role.

I noticed that when discussing Stacy Galina playing Greg's daughter, and then niece, those were actually photos of Danielle Brisbois, who originated the role of Greg's daughter Mary Frances when he first joined the show.

The series may only have been in the top ten seasonal rankings during one of the fourteen seasons however it was a top ten regular in the weekly charts for much of its run including as late as Season 10. Given that it was pitted opposite such powerhouses as Hill Street Blues and LA Law for most of its run, this is nothing short of miraculous.

Michele Lee INSISTS that while she did take a reduced rate she never worked for scale in Season 14. Also, in 14 seasons the show finished in the Top 40 of the ratings for 12 of its seasons, including the final even after the dramatic plunge in ratings in S13 due to new writers and producers, which prompted the ire of William and Nicollette.
@kenken655010 ай бұрын
That's when being in the top 40 really meant something! In the top 10 could mean upwards of 20 mil viewers. In the 80s and 90s, top 40 to 20 meant in the 10s to teens. Compare that with a "hit" like Riverdale, who i don't think ever got above 900k and was usually in the 700s.
