According to some sources. A lot of this is rumor and hearsay. Or based on books written by people claiming to have had same-sex relationships with some of the people named in this video. A lot of the Tracey stuff comes from a guy who was a male hooker in Hollywood who wrote a book and starred in a documentary claiming Tracey was gay, and was also one of his clients. The hooker also hinted that Hepburn was a lesbian, rather than the bisexual that she had long been rumored to be. It seems likely Hepburm was one or the other, but I don't know how much of a "GOSPEL" the male Hollywood hooker should be taken as. It's pretty much-accepted fact among historians that Garbo/Crawford/Dietrich were bisexual. And that Barbara Stanwyck was either bisexual or lesbian. And Bankhead made no secret of her bisexuality. As far as a lot of the women this video mentions as being among their lovers (including Claudette Colbert/Hattie McDaniel, Billie Burke), that is just based on what was rumor, gossip, and hearsay. Maybe it's all true and maybe it's not. Mercedes De Acosta was a well-established Hollywood screenwriter in the 1930s and 1940s, and she was an out lesbian. She wrote a book claiming she had affairs with several famous actresses (movie stars and theater stars) of that day, including Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. Both of who denied the claim

Dyan Cannon, Grant's fourth wife (and a bombshell) said she never saw any evidence of his homosexuality.
@keng48472 жыл бұрын
@@keythdanielsen9315 A lot of the Grant stuff comes from the fact that in the 1930s and 1940s Grant often lived with Randolph Scott when he wasn't married. And it was apparently a well-known "Secret" in Hollywood that Grant liked men. There is supposedly a quote from a female star (I forget who) from that period, who supposedly said, "EVERYBODY IN HOLLYWOOD KNOWS CARY GRANT LIKES MEN" However, it's probably more likely that he was bisexual rather than gay. For instance In the 1950s Grant had a romance with Sophia Loren, who had a longstanding boyfriend (who become her husband). People close to Grant always said Grant was deeply in love with Loren and very much devastated when she ultimately chose her future husband over him. And a writer who wrote a biography of Grant came to the conclusion that he was bisexual. That writer also said that Grant was pretty much done with men as he got older. Which would include the time of his marriage to Dyan Cannon. .

"Secretly" due to the then-immense stigma against same-sex attraction. Sometimes-extreme actions of those so inclined (e.g. Liberace) were in reaction that dreadful standard.

If you’re looking for credibility calling it ‘Whatever happened to Mary Jane’ ain’t a good way to start.

Many people are posting interesting comments, which begs the question, What is gay? If one lusts after people of the same sex but never have sex with someone of the same sex are they gay? What if someone just likes to have sex with people of the same sex, but do not tend to fall in love with people of the opposite sex? What if someone just likes to sleep around, period? Male, female, whatever? Doesn't care? A term often used by heath care agents is MSM, men who have sex with other men. Why? Because some men have sex with other men, but claim to be straight. Are they lying? See, these are the issues that confuse people, both straight and LGBT. This is also what makes being LGBT different than being pretty much any other type of minority.

Next thing we will be told is that Liberace was gay. I always thought he was a bit flamboyant, but in our day (the 1950s) we did not even really think about those things.

What about the huge stage actress Lotta Crabtree. She was a total closet lesbian, and had some affairs with other actresses. She never married, and according to the medical examiner she died a virgin.

Dorothy Arzner-wow! (0:43) I thought that was a picture of a man. After all, it wouldn't have been the 1st time the wrong photo was used here.

A woman enjoying or preferring women was preferable to a studio as long as they kept it quiet. Less pregnancies and drama.

How can you be sure of any when we live in an age of dishonest reports and those craving for viewers? Anyway, if a person or celebrity is or isn't is not the public's right to know. Since when did it become important to know others personal interests? I have done extensive research on the human character and have discovered that a person's sexual preference and orientation can be revealed by a few features upon the face. Having said that, if the public had access to this knowledge, they would roll over to find the hidden truth of the most masculine of men and the most voluptuous of women prefer the same sex. But in this great age of empowerment and inclusion, Why the urgency to get the goods ,pun intended.? To slander, bring down character, etc . Not for inclusion . Man can never be fixed until he fixes himself. To be inclusive, women included.

I don't judge what you do in your bedroom. They all were extremely awesome actresses. What's sad is the grasp Hollywood had on these women to "make it," in early Hollywood. I choose love, not what you do with someone privately. 😊
