Berkeley School of Education (BSE) faculty talk about their research, what inspired them along their educational journey, and the impact they are hoping to make. This edition features Professor Dana Miller-Cotto, who uses the approaches from cognitive development, sociology, and educational psychology to study predictors of educational inequity, particularly as they relate to marginalized students as they learn math. More specifically, Professor Miller-Cotto also looks at the role of executive functions in how children learn mathematics.
