I wanted to write an understanding yet optimistic post. Knowing the feelings of worthlessness most of my life, yet still clinging to my childish optimism of the future. Your cousin Gary nailed in one sentence to explain what would take me many paragraphs and I would still not be understood.

Reading your comment really touched my heart and hit home because I lost my dad when I was 6 years old however within those 6 years I spent majority of all of my time with him and it's crazy because I can remember it just like it was yesterday and I'm almost 40 and I hated it was a lot of things I didn't get to ask him about life either. But I'm willing to bet just as I believe my life has been blessed with a male figure that I can look up to like a father, your life has been blessed the same way as well. Most times when God takes something away or a person he has already lined up the blessing to come behind that although no one can ever replace your dad nor mine.. I must say God knew and knows exactly what he was and is doing at all times. Prayers for you and the family although it's been 15 years or so since he passed away that hurt never goes away but I'm glad that you got to spend as much time with your dad as you did because it was much more time than I got. I don't even know you but I love you brother keep your head up cuz just as God is I'm sure your pops is with you every step of the way in spirit

This is so fuckin right on point! It's hard to sleep, eat, or breathe when the memories overtake my mind. The newest of thoughts impossible to concieve. I know that I can and will change but those thoughts stay the same, powerful and consuming. I can wait, but not even the slightest of help will ever come, no matter whats at stake. This isnt the person I knew but the one I created by expressing and embellishing all that I loved about them. my anger is only scratching at the bed that I have made. It's hopeless when one has become completely apathetic and self absorbed.

I have related to these lyrics. My own interpretation has been that the pain I held inside after going through my own hell was unable to come out because the closest people around me also experienced their own hell as a result of me when my life had been turned upside down due to an illness. When I needed others I didn´t have anyone ´they were too busy with themself`. Friends and family were living far away on other side of world. I had no friends and hid in darkness. My brain couldn´t handle lights, sounds or any complex situations. The anxiety within me was so overwhelming. The guilt had totally wrecked me and as a result I had created a prison that I sat within, away from all that was beautiful. It´s been a decade and now reflecting back, I was luckily released about 1.5yrs ago. The music of Nightwish released me and I will never go back to that darkness.

Why would anyone be friends with someone who was never there for them? People choose friends. If someone chooses to be friends with someone like that, they don't deserve to bitch. Family can't be chosen. That seems more likely to me.
@hunterlee441210 жыл бұрын
I think so to but since I don't really have as much family problems as friend issues due to social anxiety I choose to interpret it in my own way. And I was wondering if anyone else felt like it applied to more than just family.
