As a singing bassist some of my fans (musical and non-musical alike) were sometimes MORE impressed that I could play a song, lean out and talk to them as if I were just standing there without missing any bass parts. To watch Charles play that riff and talk about Nord was much more impressive than most of the folks watching this video will ever understand!! Hats off to you sir RESPECT!!!

I used to play guitar but I never played a fretless version. But I believe you can play “tweener” notes which is really cool. On the downside it seems like it would be hard to know where you are. The frets help you go to your next note or chord while with a fretless you maybe have to rely on so-called “muscle memory”?
