I’ve always wanted to try DJing with Ableton. I want to figure out a way to do live, improvisational remixes of my songs. I feel limited by my gear though. I’ve been on the hunt for a low budget control surface that can do what I want

You can make micracles with Ableton only with your pc keyboard and Diva Synth VST. For a Controller, the best choice is Akai APC 40 MK2 for Live performances and djing. Or the Ableton Push to quickly create music, using the Step Sequencer and as a powerfull midi instrument. You can play like Mozart on it with three finger. Using both heaven is the limit

I did not know Live had DJ presets built in. Do you just use live by itself for DJ’ing? Or do you combine live with turntables as well?

Used this live today. It works both ways. Fade a track in or fade it out. Very clean effect.

I'm not planning to DJ with Live, but I could see uses for this for transitions within songs. I only recently understood (at least I think I do, in a basic way) Ableton's whole A-B crossfader thing. Is there a reason you didn't use that in the demo?

amazing not really much content out there dj with Live 11.. how can we controll the dj delay fx like on pioneer dj Mixer...I find no way .. the delay is new but how to map this to midi device with 2 Button for the steps and 3 knobs...ableton delay works not how a dj Mixer delay sadly or what do I wrong...
