Im glad you tested this Dogma! This DIY restore came out the week after I restored the trim on my wifes Wrangler. I used Turtle Wax's graphine trim restorer, and it worked well, but was much thicker, required 2 coats and I had to use alot. But looks great. I dont think the Turtle wax restorer will last as long as the DIY restore. So when the Jeep needs a touch up, Ill definitely be using DIYs trim restore. I love DIY Details products. Fresh trim makes a huge visual impact! Thanks for the video.

Hey man thanks for tuning in! Yes the DIY line is probably more robust for sure, it's fairly new product, I want to test it long term but so far the results speak for them selves. I 100% agree with you the deep dark rich black trim makes or break the detail. Appreciate you cheers!

Very cool Frank my friend! Just a new idea for you or something to reconsider, maybe a refresh video on the venerable Flex PXE 80? It seems that you like the machine, and I just bought it :) My first cordless 3', haven't had a chance to work with it as it came yesterday, seems like it has good power, and has a very solid build on it. Also a very cool charger! The car came out great man! I really liked the finish effect.

Hey Vic you've been gearing up lately!! Christmas is early in Poland i'm seeing 🤪 I can probably cook something for the flex pxe80 its definitely a beast I love it, i wouldnt change it for the rupes or anything. Thank you for the idea we're gonna start diving into the polishing stuff soon im waiting on a rotary and horses for the hoods. cheers brother ✌️

@@Detailing_Dogma Damn Frank this little nano has TORQUE! I love it... Think about making a vid on it, I'm sure that many love it like us! Also a rotary? That's uber cool, i wan't one too (tottaly a noob with them, need to learn!) Can't wait for your next vid! Cheers!

@@victoryensured7137 Hey Vic, im waiting for the Sema show before making a decision on the rotary, I'm firmly believe in cordless especially useful when video making, tripods and wires dont make a good mix. Flex is bringing a new revamped Set of cordless polishers with 24V and I'm really looking for a Cordless rupes rotary. talk soon

Great video. I’m looking forward to using this trim restore/protect. I have some fords with lots of the faded black plastics. I’ve always used solution finish but I find it doesn’t last long. Lucky guy to have been sent that product.
@Detailing_Dogma7 ай бұрын
Hey Steve glad you liked it! Never tried solution finish but most trim coating I have used before were OK but most time you'd have ghosting from the faded look. I think the key is to polish them even if that'll add some gloss.

I like that this has protection also, unlike Solution Finish that you have to protect after applying or fades. Did Yvan mention how long it will last after opening given that you use so little on each car? Would be nice if they sold it in a 10oz bottle too, for like $16.95.
@Detailing_Dogma7 ай бұрын
Yes Joel it's more expensive than solution finish but it's a 2in1 meaning you have ceramic protection in it. We'll have to test to it further but I think it'd outlast the competitor. Thanks for watching as usual man!

On my Honda I’ve got the Black Piano window trim B and C Pillars that are showing signs of dullness. What Polish would you recommend?
@Detailing_Dogma7 ай бұрын
Hey David, thanks for tuning in as usual. I'd start with something soft or a finishing combo that you already have and go from there. For me that'd be Lake Country orange HDO with KCX F6 or Sonax PF. When pillars are at their worst I could even go as far as a MF pad and finish down after. Hope that helps cheers my friend!
@davidboyce64277 ай бұрын
@@Detailing_Dogma excellent I’ve got KCX F6
@joelpasserell45257 ай бұрын
@@davidboyce6427 I usually start with KC M3-02 micro polish with the KC 3" purple pad. It works great on the piano black anywhere. If it still needs more correction, I've done a drop of M3 and drop of F6 on same purple pad. Gets the great glossing of the M3 and a little more cut of the F6.

@@Detailing_Dogma thank you, what’s the best pre soak product for a very dirty car before rinseless wash in your opinion? Would KC GS or something else? I will be using 2 Marolex hand pumps. 1 with the solution and 1 with water to rinse. TIA
