Fading Steps:
Trim top to desired length
- Debulk with #1.5 guard
- Set in guideline with 0 lever closed
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 2 & 3 guard blend up
- clipper over comb finish connecting side length to top
- Blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

So many techniques out there and honestly this technique wether its a low, mid, high fade, drop fade, or taper. This is is right here! Saves time and consistant. I feel like barbers get so carried away with different techniques when the answer is right here! You two young men found it. Constistant and with your roots which is why you two are successful! Now on the Wahl Seniors do you recommend sticking with the fade blade or using a taper blade? Or does hair type come into play on the blade to use?
