Faeries Called to Play || Resting River Enchantment || Otherworld Wonders

Every so often Faerie’s Call to come play. Today is such a day. The scent of the Forest is sweet. Standing, breathing in its Essence is a way to honor this holy exchange and how I welcome myself to this sacred land. Sunlight dances across the mossy Forest floor and speckles the tall Conifers. Already, the Faeries know I have come and they are delighted. Each step is slow as to make room for this relationship within the bodymind. The Mind empties and becomes spacious. The heartbeat is felt by the Trees and the Mycelium beneath the Soul’s of my feet. There is a merging that happens. In some way I become the Forest consciousness. The separate thinking Nicole evaporates and only a shared quiet and playful unison remains.
The day is sunny and warm. In direct sunlight it is hot. Hot enough to jump in the icy cold Mountain River.
The first few hours were like an initiation. Nature relaxed my nervous system. The sunlight danced across the water as did the Dragon Flies. Butterflies flew gracefully making their presence known and assuring me that they too knew of mine. Spiders glided down from the arching branches catching their lunch and wrapping it up neatly. Squirrels chatted loudly while frantically scurrying about until they saw me as no threat. The day was lovely. My own private oasis. The large smooth River stones become perfectly carved sofas that cup my body. A delightful reading nook to enjoy this lovely day. I ate the picnic lunch I brought. Read. Swam. Read. Swam. Read some more. The layers of stress rolled off and the River carried them away. Pure Naked Aliveness awakened.
Nothing was being controlled by alarm clocks. The Sun was the holder of time. There were no constricting “need to do’s” or “should have” narrators. Interconnected intuition was the Conductor harmoniously guiding this glorious play of life. We were all here together and it was marvelous.
A breeze blew a cool crisp wind past the flesh of my skin and the Forest called me in. I was met by a poetic squirrel reciting endless tales for me to follow and I did. Crawling on both my hands and feet mossy, sticky, and sappy twigs stuck to my clothes and hair. Mushroom joyous surprises laid the markers for me to follow. Nature was the storybook I held in my hands and heart. I turned each page slowly. The story was being told in the happenings of real life moments appearing and disappearing right before my eyes.
Every so often the Faeries call and we play. Today was such a day.
