Can you take a walk outside of resort

I stayed at this resort end ofJanuary this year. the resort is situated on its own with no neighbouring hotels. you can however walk down the beach to the nearest hotel (20 mins walk) just be aware this area of the beach is untidy with rubbish and ocean debris littered all over the place. I imagine these areas will eventually be developed into resorts
