I need it explained to me in a thorough breakdown analysis how a shrimp like M. Night Shyamalan overpowered and outwitted a 7 foot tall humanoid demonic monster into a pantry and managed to lock it inside. Showing that scene would have been peak cinema in my eyes.

Well he literally says in the scene “Don’t open my pantry father, I found one of them in there and locked him in.” So he never stated or implied that he physically wrestled the creature. He just closed the pantry door and barricaded it while the creature was distracted in the pantry.
