Amazing and touching how you love them at such a deep level with so much respect and give them their dignity allowing these beautiful gentle giants to live in peace and happiness. I watch every post with admiration and joy. Sometimes I tear up knowing how abused so many of these elephants have been and how so many are still being used and abused for rides, entertainment, logging and working in work camps chained and suffering terribly. Thank you from the bottom of my heat for saving them and caring for them and giving them a life of freedom and contentment to live their lives out in peace. You’re a true Angel. I’ve never been to Thailand but would like to go just to meet you in person and personally shake your hand and thank you for all you’ve done for these beautiful intelligent and amazing creatures. 🙏🏻

So you know, in her name "Faa Mai" (or Fah Mai), the "Mai" is pronounced "My", while the name 'Mae' (as in Mae Bua Tong, Faa Mai's mother) is pronounced "May". Not only a popular name for Asian (or ENP) female/mothering elephants, Mae used to be a common name in the US in previous generations, as in "Lillie Mae".
