I think Sri Nuan was literally born to be a Nanny. She is always so happy to be with the little ones. Lek has been working to join Pyi Mai's herd with Wan Mai's herd, so that together they have both mothers and both babies and nanny D Max, which frees up Sri Nuan to give nanny-attention to Bunma and Chaba. Lynn was referring to the "other babies" that Lek spoke of in this video, in an elephant camp nearby, where the owner has not had enough food for the nursing mothers there, such that their babies died due to lack of milk. Very sad. This is why elephants belong in the jungle where Creator put them, not chained to some concrete slab or tree on somebody's property. I'm sure the fact that those mothers were chained and stressed like Bunma had been (before her rescue), didn't help their milk production, just as Bunma's milk wasn't flowing under those stresses either. It's hard to understand how a person doesn't understand what doesn't work, and why they keep doing it when they know it doesn't work. I know of a very knowledgeable horse-person that says (and it's true), that horses always suffer for the stupid things that people do, and the same thing is true in spades with elephants. Elephants always suffer for the unreasoning things that people do. Keep in mind that Lek's Trunks Up program has a food bank that needs our support, to help neighboring starving elephants to live. @@emmiefeng6481 That elephant camp didn't have enough food to feed the mother-elephants the sufficient food they needed to be able to nurse, plus, they were chained as Bunma had been, which right there, due to stress, puts a halt or serious reduction on milk production. When milk-dependent calves don't get sufficient milk, they die. They're too little to eat much solid food as infant elephants, they've got to have their mother's milk. Many captive elephants in Asia are dying due to lack of food, because their owners are out of business, because they don't have the money to buy food, and they've got their elephants chained so they're not free to eat natural vegetation. Elephants do know, instinctively though, how to eat in the Wild, so if those people knew that and could take them to a safe place, they could release them to the jungle to eat, and save their lives. People might say there is no place they could go, but there are. There is also Lek's Trunks Up program food bank, but that needs donations to work, jointrunksup.org/foodbank

Nanny Sri Nuan has been nanny to many ENP babies, she has a very calming, stabilizing, peaceful presence, such that no one rejects her. She is a peacemaker, a bridge over troubled waters, she is very experienced, the most experienced in the whole park, she's over 60 years old, very loving.

I know Lek try her best to save elephants, but there is still lots of them suffering abuse, so the best we can try to do is to educate more people to understand elephants and respect them, no ride them not abuse them, we need try to raise people’s awareness, and push government to enforce the law to protect elephants! I hope it will getting better and better!

Sri Nuan doesn't lactate, Lek made that clear in another video, but as we know, language is a challenge and a lot of mental work to keep saying it in all the videos. Lek made it very clear by saying something like, "drink milk, even not have milk" speaking of Sri Nuan. So these babies comfort-suckle their nannies, which creates a strong heart-bond with them, such that the babies will listen to their instruction and trust them.

What a wonderful way for me to end my day,watching Lek whom is filled with grace and awesomeness!! And her wonderful blessed herds of elephants. It’s been an honour to watch the rescue of Chaba and Bunma , they are doing so much better, thank you to all at the park for the dedicated hard work . 🙏
