Singing Tips : Working on stabilizing the larynx with a 66 years old client on high notes

In this video I was working with a singer from Nashville regarding larynx stability
One of the problems that he has is every time he goes in his higher range his larynx just goes up too much and loses its optimal larynx position so therefore he needs to really get good at stabilizing his larynx.
We also worked on the song careless whisper by George Michael and we were able to stabilize his larynx up to G4

Oh my, had to comment again. this video has so much in it, if you pay attention to it. Wow, something just clicked after doing the things in this video and it really freed up my voice. I realised where I was getting hung up. The hey before hand made me correct so many things. I can drop that now and just keep the same format. The line "Guilty feet have GOT" the way got was approached, there is no need to come out of your voice, you just stay in the format you were in, Genius! This has really helped me sing within my Chest range, and now I'm not getting hung up singing up in the G4. I need to start saving, because lessons are a must after watching this. Thank you

I'm confused, but happy at the same time. This starting off with the Hey, builds pressure, and you keep that feeling all the way through the notes if I get this correctly. Oddly though, as I go higher, I feel the need to back the pressure off and relax more, or am I missing something?
