Also, there was this guy in my city that put interior door handles from an e38 on his e46 , and it looks really cool, cause the e38 ones have this orange glowing line running across them. They also barely cost much, so it's just a suggestion :)

New subscriber. I was very puzzled to what car this was until you explained the whole story. I'm very excited about this series. Have you considered a CSL-style carbon airbag by evolve? They make a huge difference to how these cars sound from the inside!

I myself would prefer an E34 M5, but if he buys an M car purely for fun, he did the right choice. Not many cars that are more fun to drive than an E46 M3. However I would prefer an E34 M5, 3.6 or 3.8 it doesn't matter, because it looks basic, but goes mad, however that would be too expensive to live with on a daily basis, so I'd rather get an E34 525i (24v), stroke to 3.0l with M54B30 rotating assembly, set up a low pressure (0.4 bar at most) Toyota SC14 supercharger kit from Hyde Motor Works (I would love turbo, but then it would need forged pistons, lag quite a bit more and overall be more expensive to put together and live with), and also get a shortshifter kit, LSD, headers and sport cats, then make my own custom exhaust from there on, more aggressive cams, and put an LPG device in to lower the cost since it is supposed to be a daily driven beast (although I would tune it so that at higher RPM, it sprays a little petrol to the LPG to prevent serious engine damage and bad reliability overall), and to top it off, make it an M5 look, with M everything, in and out, M5-spec suspension too, Hella black headlamps and stuff like that. Just maybe I will not put the M5 badges, but if I do get the M5 badges on, it will be purely to provoke other people. :) But then I would end up spending the same money to make my perfect E34 as I would have to buy an E34 M5, but now I can drive that E34 that isn't a real M5, but has the looks and the power of an M5, and is pretty perfect in my taste.

Lil Murder yeah sorry for that haha. I was just gonna say that I think an E46 M3 is a better "fun car" than an E34 M5, but then I got out of the theme and into the details. 😂 Lucky you tho. I'm stuck in my dad's 190D 2.0... ...not enough space, only 75hp but it's a 5 speed manual and it's kinda fun. And it also likes tractor diesel, which is cheaper than regular.

If a Toyota Camry with an S54 isn’t an M3 why would a 318 be? The M3 chassis is lighter and the suspension is completely different so your not getting the “M experience” yeah you have the engine and it’s a great one. Just don’t think you should call it an M cause it’s not lol
