Well y'all I am the mother-in-law and if I knew this trick when my kids were going up, I would have done it this all the time. I was always taught to slow cook my roast in the vegetables but all it does, is drain the meat of its juices dries it out and doesn't actually cook it properly. We have had this cooked for us by AJ for over the past 7 years and I tell you it is the biggest treat you could give yourself. 🤤Bar none this has to be the best way, ever. If you've never tried it, then you don't know what you're missing or talking about. Try it and you'll never go back to the way a roast was cooked in the past. 👌😘 And his horseradish mayo recipe is to die for 👍😉

I made my first prime rib today, 2 bone and had the bones cut off, but tied back on. I used this method except I cooked it on a rack and IT CAME OUT PERFECTLY!!!! Medium rare, but was only warm. What would be the best way to warm it up again before serving?

Hi! What veggies do you put this on top of? And can you eat them afterwards or do they turn to mush? Do you have a more step-by-step instruction written somewhere? I’ve never made prime rib at home because I’m intimidated! Thank you!

Please help me someone. It is CHRISTMAS night. I am trying to cook dinner. Big snafu in the kitchen. Chris melted s.oke at the first 1 hour mark when the oven was supposed to be turned off and the meat was to continue cooking in the remaing heat. Chris pulled the roast out and dropped it and all the grease on the floor and all over the oven. The oven is cooled down and so is my roast

Just used this process today, 3 rib bone in, wanted medium to just over for mother in law. Gave it 55 minutes before turning oven off, it was spot on. Juicy but clear, and as tender as f##k. Thank you....

None of these times make any sense. Leave it in an off oven for 2 hours? Sounds like a 10 hour experiment. I don't want to eat Christmas dinner at midnight. I'm trying a different method. Also: By the time someone explains this to me in numbers that make sense, I will have chosen a different technique. Merry Christmas.

I wish these KZbin cooks would diversify their cooking . Everybody does steak , prime rib , chicken, ribs and the basics over and over again. The true mastery of cooking is and trying new ideas and exploring all types of food terrain as it relates to cooking , but I guess this is what everyone does because everyone is doing the same thing …
