I love the IDEA of tracking all things, but I only last 2 weeks. Every time. So I just accept that I don't love it like I think, and will use my mini printer to stick pics in those unused spaces.

I stopped using gratitude logs cuz I wasn't using them, but I came back to them this month and is going well at the moment.... Wish me luck 😅

🤞 wishing you luck! I mean, it took me about 6 months of trying to find a habit tracker I liked and would stick with 🤷‍♀️ maybe that’s you and the gratitude log 😛

Yes, please. Another video on how to recover from a failed spread would be awesome! We frequently plan out spreads ahead of time, but then life happens. Or we we realize, like you, that this was the wrong spread for the needs I have at the time. But I hate wasting the pages! Please help us find ways to use these fails in some other way.

Thanks Beth! This video was recommended to me to make after your one in December 😄 always good that we can take lessons from "fails" 💪💜

You are so cute!!! If im honest, i cant be a perfectionist about bullet journaling. I love using it fory practice too. And i get you are a creator, but we dont need you to be perfect!!! We love you, jess!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I regularly set up weekly spreads that I end up not needing, especially because I've forgotten I'm heading away/made plans or because I trick myself into thinking I'm going to work on some projects while away (never happens). my 'fix' for this is I try to save receipts/ticket stubs/instant photos/stickers you pick up (even fruit stickers honestly) etc and paste them into the journal on the weeks/days they occurred, so if I flip back through, I'm not seeing an empty spread or 'failed' set up etc, I get to remember little things about trips I went on or stuff I did in those times I wasn't recording things, which has made missing a few days or weeks or even a whole month of my journal just... not feel that bad. I don't normally memory keep by writing either, but if I haven't saved any little papers, receipts or stickers, I normally chuck in a bullet point like 'went to sydney' and if i remember other places i went there like a store name or suburb name, chuck that down too.

I like to draw out little two-page spreads on scrap paper before doing my next month, after reflecting, to determine where I want things to fit - it helps me visualize it and plan for space usage and where I might need to just add doodles or something. also, thanks for the simple but genius idea of doing light alternating color lines to fill in lists before they are filled w/actual content - I have been employing it in my bujo and LOVE how it makes the page both more in theme cuz of the colors I am using but also so... aesthetically pleasing!! yay!

Most welcome! I love the alternating lines too 🥰 making little thumbnail sketches of layouts is a great idea 💪 I used those for planning my new journal setups 😄💜

I think this was a really awesome video! Seeing what mistakes can be helps us avoid them, but also reflect on if we’re currently making them. I know I’m definitely using the wrong spread for the wrong time

I know reflection sometimes gets a bad rap, but I really love it for this type of thing 😝 that’s why I include a “what I did and didn’t like in my journal” section on my reflection for each month 🤙

This is a good idea. If your habits only take up a partial page, maybe decorate the rest of the paper more? Washi, stickers, in keeping with your theme…

Totally doable, yeah 😊 I think I would have preferred to just squeeze them into my self care tracker from that month (which is what I ended up doing in the subsequent month 😝)

I probably have a very stupid question, but i am new to the more decorative bujo methods, i was strictly functional before - what exactly are dutch doors and how or why are they used? Thank you ❤
@JashiiCorrin
@JashiiCorrin Жыл бұрын
Not a stupid question! A Dutch door is essentially where you cut or fold (or stick) paper in your journal to make a layout that has more space to write, or covers important information, or something else; there are a lot of ways to use it 😝 I typically use Dutch doors on weeklies where I want more writing space, but want both spreads to feel like they're part of the same layout 💪 I have some videos that might be helpful for you!
