These guys are brave every day they clock in. The driver is ex special forces. People are acting as if he had any other option. You never want to stop the vehicle while theyre on top of you. He stayed active in order to stay aware. Once he knew he was free of the pursuers he got out in order to setup position if they returned. He had a flat tire and knew his best defense was a good offense. If they got on top of him again before he exited he would of been a sitting duck. He did absolutely everything right. He let his vehicle do what it was meant to do, used his experience and training, and than went on the offense when the opportunity displayed itself. Soldiers will soldier. Well done!

I'm from South Africa and know how this works. You never stop for these guys. They will kill you. Period. I've personally known several transit security guys who were shot on the job. It's one of the most bloody, dangerous jobs you can wish for in our country. What Prinsloo did was perfect. He saved his own life and that of his co-worker. Usually less glass it has with more the engine/brakes/suspension, the best. And used armored cars usually sell cheap, with barely nothing in addition because it depreciates faster. And Level 3a starts at $7k, so not too expensive. Of course good armor (with less weak points, more overlaps etc) will cost more. I had a bmw that only had armored windows. The key is this, if you have an owner of the company that believes in his product as you do, Quality, exceptional workmanship and dedication, I will always and forever be a loyal customer to you. Everyone is talking about how well trained this guy is which is very true but those thieves had to of been military trained. Very well placed shots on a moving vehicle if the armor hadn't done it's job they would've killed them multiple times. Driver of the Audi was actually really fucking good too he was whipping that shit.

I was thinking that aswel, that first shot was intended to subdue but not kill the driver, when that failed the shooter immediately went for an acurate headshot
@hesperhurt

Hardly. They're using fully automatic weapons from a dedicated position (not driving and shooting). Firing a weapon at a target as large as this vehicle from less than 40mtrs requires minimal skill. IF they had elevated skill levels they they would have taken weapons capable of immobilising the vehicle; which are readily available to them. Alternatively they would have used methods of closing the vehicles in convoy down such as fully loaded rock mover trucks; which has been done before. No skill... just scummy chancer idiots that didn't realise what they were taking on.

this event amazes me, the training the driver has had and the skillset he posesses just amazes me , that was cool and collected and he took on the first brunt then got lloyd to call the team , this was spot on . the fact he got stuck exhausted his primary weapon and grabbed his riffle and got out to finish the robbery off was just balllsy . hats of to you both having expierienced that . well done guys!
