Lord please help me to show a picture of and extend to others a portion of, this grace/hesed you have poured out on me. It seems I am always in need of it and so are they. This has always been your banner over me, may it always be my banner over others. To be made by love and marked by love is what I seek. Jesus have mercy on me a sinner.........

Love your sermon Tullian. This message of grace is liberating and frees me from a message of meritocracy that I have to live in at work for example. I don’t know how to respond to the comment above. All I know is that Gods abundant love covers my sins and my failures. It is so different from the merit system of this world. The merit system doesn’t draw me to Jesus. Jesus love for me. Sweeping. Persistent. All encompassing. That draws me to him; and back to him time and time again. Thanks for sharing that message with us…time and time again. Never stop. It’s a desert out here.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize' 1 Corintians 9:25-27 What about this and so many other like scriptures Tullian. You are willfully blind to the difficult scriptures that throw your theology into peril.
