Is it just me or do many of these litigants treat buying a car like it means nothing? It's not like a TV. For me, a car is the second biggest purchase after a house. It is a huge decision because it take lots of responsibility and money to keep it up. Why would you purchase a car with a gf or bf?

It’s most likely a simple interest loan, which most consumer loans are. It’s where in the beginning of the loan, more of the payment goes towards interest than principal and as time goes on, less goes towards interest and more towards the principal.
@onecuet Жыл бұрын
The interest is high because people who purchase from these places. Either have bad credit or no credit. A large majority are not reliable to finish their contracts.
@DonziGT2302 ай бұрын
By that logic we'd also have to outlaw pay day loans, pawn loans, credit cards, layaways, title loans, etc. While doing so would protect many morons from doing stupid things, it would also prevent a lot of people from acquiring something that could make their lives better at a time when money is tight.

I think they say experience is because young people “usually” don’t listen to others advice. They don’t learn until they actually have the experience. That’s how it became known as the “best” teacher. Because every experience is not the same.

So what happens now? He has the car, he keeps making the payments on the car, but the loan is still in her name? That means if he defaults, it is HER credit that is going to be ruined, not his. Also, how did they both think that both of their names were on the title? Didn't the dealership ASK how the title should be held? Most likely, the salesman just assumed that the man would own the car regardless of who was paying for it. As a woman, I have experienced such blatant and ubiquitous misogyny at car dealerships that it is seriously mind-blowing. When I go by myself everything is usually fine, but the moment I go with a man, all the attention is on him. Virtually every time.

1- there is nothing more annoying then a man who asks “do you still love me?” Hearing THAT question alone makes most women feel some sort of way & not in any good way. My husband has never asked me that. Once every few years he’ll ask me “are you happy?” but that’s him asking me genuinely if I’m happy. A BIG difference. 2- why don’t they just refinance the car, take her name off the loan since they’ve been making payments for about a year. He should have established some positive credit, the payments would/could go down & the interest would be lower & her name wouldn’t be associated with the loan. Or he could have his mother co-sign since she has so much control/input over this car.

When will women learn that putting their name on a loan for someone that no bank or finance company would extend credit to is a BAD IDEA?! How obvious the signs he's a bad credit risk are if a man comes to you and says, "I can't get this car without a co-signer" ? It's 2023, Ladies; if you have to sign on a loan for your man, then you need to be rethinking why you're with this man to begin with. A real man would work his ass off however he could and save the money up, THEN go buy a car with cash before he would ever step to his girlfriend and ask her help.
