Don't forget you can also invite a supporting cast character from other players who are on your friends list to help you go through it very smoothly ^^ But yup, that's basically the biggest problem with Imaginarium Theater. if you don't have enough characters; let alone built ones, you can't do the harder modes. It really is not fair for players who don't have the roster for it since half of the free primos you get are from this game mode before Spiral Abyss resets so I can understand your frustrations. When it comes to games like this: if you don't have the time invested in it, you generally can't get far.

All your grievances are valid, they have been presented to Hoyo, but they just don't care to address it. I just treat this "thing" as another tacked-on system like the card game and tea pot housing, get whatever rewards you can get out of it and push out the painful experience in memory limbo. Also if you need friends with built characters you want to borrow, if you ever want to try this again in the future - call me. I'm on EU server, but it doesn't require being online at the same time or anything.

I don't think newer players should worry about theater for 3 fates a month, you guys are gonna lose your mind. You really don't have to do it, 3 fates wont be getting you anything honestly. Just like you can't do abyss floor 12 at AR30, this game mode was released for people who have been playing for a REALLY long time, I've been playing for 2 years and I still don't have enough characters for the hardest level sometimes, but the rewards aren't so good that I feel like I'm missing out and I'm F2P lol. Not to look like I'm defending hoyo, of course you're valid if you want to complain or criticize it, all I'm saying is, maybe you're just not the target audience for it yet. TLDR: its okay, you really don't need to lose your mind for 3 pulls a month if you don't like the game mode or if you can't play it properly yet, it's not worth your peace of mind.
