Failing to get to Arkaroola

In 2020 heavy rain stopped us getting to Arkaroola Wilderness Reserve in Outback South Australia. In 2022 we set off again to visit this spectacular region. Heavy rain was forecast and again we cancelled our trip. We did have a pleasant trip through the Mid North of the South Australia to the Flinders Ranges before slowly returning home.

We first went there several years ago too. So far we have tried several times during the last couple of years but heavy rain has prevented us. Trying again next month. Hopefully we will get there this time.

Yes, some outback roads can become very treacherous in the rain.
