In this podcast, I share my personal journey of dealing with failure and social anxiety, and how I have grown from these experiences.
From an innovation event in Peninsular Malaysia, where I faced a devastating loss and swore to never fail again, to my cautious approach to work and life, avoiding risks to prevent mistakes. My fear of failure even extended to trying new things, like eating at unfamiliar places, which once led to a week-long illness.
Social anxiety compounded my struggles. As an A-student with a degree from overseas, I felt immense pressure from society to succeed in certain ways, constantly worrying about people's opinions on my life choices. But through a valuable lesson from Uras, I learned to stop caring about others' judgments and focus on how I view myself.
My perspective on failure has evolved significantly. Failure is not the end but a crucial part of the journey. It is about standing back up, learning, and growing from the experience. Interacting with business owners at Uras taught me that having nothing to lose can be a powerful motivator, turning failures into stepping stones toward success.
Join me as I delve into these experiences and share insights on embracing failure and overcoming social anxiety to live a more fulfilling life and a journey to build your business or career to success.
