I'd love to see a concise study of any correlation between the types of people who: 1. Fall for these religious charlatans 2. People who are "strongly religious" (probably fundamentalists) 3. People who tend to lean toward conspiracy I hope the study would look at it in-line with scientific discovery. We all know science has increasingly challenged, or outright exposed, the myths and/or lies of religious/supernatural beliefs over the centuries. It seems those who have the tendency to believe in conspiracy are in the same vein as the religious minded. I posit the number of "extreme" conspiracy minded people in the world is tied to the growth of our understanding of the universe. It seems as our understanding of the natural world grows, so does the number of conspiracy theorists. It would also be cool if a study like this did a deep-dive to see if there is any correlation in genetic variation.

The researchers found that women who went to church more than once a week had a 33% lower risk of dying during the study period compared with those who said they never went. The integrity displayed by the atheist community has always been evident and public. We in the queer community also hold people accountable for their despicable actions and some people do get banned from our non-profit if they commit a crime big enough to warrant it for the protection of the rest of our community. I haven't seen this kind of integrity in most churches I know, there is one exception to that, I'm fairly confident that if something went south with a member of the leadership in the Unitarian church, that one person would be cut off from it, I've seen how they run their organization too. The further "left" the organization is, the higher the integrity standards.

The 1650 people dying of cancer daily in the U.S. alone, or people that burn to death in fires, get beaten to death, raped, stabbed, etc. By the way, he/she/it/they knew it would happen in the first place, and did nothing to stop it. So, for example, I guess it was a part of "God's" will to let children burn to death in a fire, or a person get raped and beaten to death, and then they weren't Christians, so...right into the ditch fire they go. While the criminal never gets caught, repents, and goes to Heaven. Me: An ex-Catholic, ex-non-denominational Christian, ex Muslim. I've heard just about every type of bull on my quest to finding which fairytale was true, instead of just trying to fit into my culture. They try to offer proof of god in various ways, but if the argument is illogical, it won’t be entertained just to be nice. The show is for the audience, which is a mix of theists and atheists. It encourages people to think on their own, question beliefs or even to develop simple critical thinking skills. The comments in KZbin threads will forever be filled with name callers and dimwits. It’s the nature of the beast. Its not everyone, though. There are often mature people willing to answer a question or have a conversation. But, if you are on an atheist site, and you post that everyone is going to hell, expect some people to give you shit. Justsayin

Are you aware that if in fact you even ONCE confessed Jesus died for and is the Savior of your sins and that you believed with your whole heart that God raised him from the dead, that you are saved even if you no longer believe? Does this offend you? Religion is not what it takes to be a Christian, actually religious works for salvation denies the blood atonement of Christ and if they believe works are necessary then they are not Christians but rather "professing" Christians. Titus 1:11 “Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.” All of these "Christians" that you are mocking require works in their gospel. A servant was under a contract to work off a debt that he couldn't afford to pay himself or if he or she was a criminal working off his/her debt. They were not captured and sold. I guess the difference is that atheists in general do not sing the praises of the people you listed. meanwhile the Christians listed on the show are routinely praised by other Christians. Also none of them, as far as I'm aware, cited atheism as the motivation for their actions. They where communists first and possibly atheists as a consequence. As is frequently said, atheism is a position on one question, it is not an overarching philosophy that can be used as a justification for anything else. Though I'd also say that I strongly suspect that at least some of the people mentioned on the show are know damn well that the religion they used to get rich is a scam.
