12 years later here I am once more pondering my life, listening to the same song for the unknown time.

Heard this for the first time i think 8 or 9 years ago, at night, thinking about a person that now has nothing to do with my life. That moment.. it was one of the best experiences ive ever had in my life.

Stifle verb (used with object) 1. to quell, crush, or end by force 2. to suppress, curb, or withhold 3. to kill by impeding respiration; smother. verb (used without object) 4. to suffer from difficulty in breathing, as in a close atmosphere. 5. to become stifled or suffocated. pretty much what you were already saying something along the lines of "crushing the insides of the fundamentals"

I've seen them 8 times and they've been unforgettable every single time. I've seen various members sick, various bleeding, shook the hands of some, and hugged others. Yet no matter the night or the lineup they put on the best performances I've ever witnessed. I would consider myself very anti religious and yet their talent is god given. (and have you even heard darroh's solo work? i mean, my god. how is he not ruling the world) Count your lucky stars daily that you got to witness them perform on stage. It honestly changed my life forever.

Every show I've ever been to of theirs has been nothing short of an "out of body" musical experience. No other band has been able to just strip away all of my inhibitions and allow me to lose myself in the music completely. My recovery period after each show was substantial too. Almost like a fleeting high. These guys will remain one of my rocks for the rest of my life.

Lyrics are now in the video info. Mind you, the reason you cant find the full lyrics is because FTM never posted them online. The version they posted had the second verse taken out for some reason. So im not sure if the second verse is right, its just what i think it sounds like.

The beginning sounds like Hyper Chondriac Music by Muse.
And I thought Say When was an amazing way to end a CD. I was as far from right as I could be!

no, you were right. it's just that this song is maybe even a little MORE amazing.
@kaikleimola84173 жыл бұрын
I believe Say When fits Fables perfectly as an ending just like greener grass for A&A. This song along with Orphan Anthem 86 deserve their own album. LoVE FTM!!

@@kaikleimola8417 and add granny niblo to that little list. I think there's an EP with those 3 songs plus, I think, abigail??? The Drawn & Quartered EP, which I doubt anyone can find for sale because why would anyone surrender any FTM CDs or albums??? Not like they're making more... And these guys are up there with queens of the stone age/josh homme for writing just BRILLIANT album closers, sometimes even stretching it to a 2-song closing. Check I Appear Missing + Like Clockwork closing QOTSA's Like Clockwork magnum opus, & of course FTM's When... & Quince fr. Inter.Funda.Stifle, & Them Crooked Vultures' Gunman + Spinning In Daffodils.........all sheer brilliance amongst catalogs of brilliant album closings.

An abreviation of the album name, duh. You have no excuse because of the explanation comment below you.
@codfish667716 жыл бұрын
Its not really a song, its just an outro to Upgrade^Brigade and an intro to Quince. Whats wrong with it? I think its necessary for the progression of the album so it doesn't start right after the song before it.

Because compared to this, Say When is an embarrassment.
@Ninjistic15 жыл бұрын
I agree with this band being overlooked but PT and opeth arent really. They are popular with progressive music fans and opeth is also popular with metal fans. i think porcupine tree and fair to midland are bands that people could get into pretty easily if they tried. Opeth is harder to get into though.
