Thanks Dan,I was there a couple times in the early 90's, I remember going for a ride around 1 AM on the summer solstice after the Goldpanner game and they were busy constructing their first Taco Bell at that hour.

You skipped 90% of Fairbanks and just drove in a square repeatedly downtown.

Careful there, you broke quite a few laws how you are driving. When you turned onto north Cushman you pulled into the far lane instead of the nearer lane. In Alaska when you go down a one way, or any multiple lane road, you have to pull into the lane closest to you, then signal you are moving into another lane. That on-coming truck actually had the right of way turning into that lane and if they were closer and hit you, you would be at fault. On 4th Avenue you didn't stop at that stop sign, Lacey Street does not have a stop sign, and there is a tree blocking 4th's view of oncoming traffic to the left. Stop signs mean Stop in Alaska, it is not a suggestion, nor is it a yield. On Noble Street you also did not remain fully stopped nor did you pull over for that ambulance. Be careful driving like this, you are going to hurt someone, or worse.

So, in summary, a boring downtown. Utilitarian. Reminiscent of many slightly depressed towns in the lower 48. Certainly, you go there for the besuty of the surrounding country not the city. The Ice Museum looks interesting though. H?mm.

This is just miserable. I am from a Central European city that was founded in the 12th century, it has tons of medieval landmarks and landmarks from the following periods, cobblestone street centre and the overall charm combined with everything 21st century. I think I would need antidepressants after one week here.Admittedly, if you freeze-frame here and there you could see a part of a street from my city, minus the cars and signage, but overall this is a why-do-people-live-here thing.

Why do you choose to compare your city with the most remote city in the entire United States? A better comparison would be with the most remote small city in your entire continent. Oh and don't forget to thank the US from liberating your city from the Soviets and Nazis while you're at it.

Oh and another thing, put your country's most beautiful places of nature, mountains, streams and parks against Alaska's. There would be no comparison.

@@ChatGPT1111 I disagree, pretty much any country in Europe beats the United States in every way imaginable including streams, mountains, parks, and nature. In terms of nature mountains the Unites States is beautiful but still doesn’t compare to Europe in any way. The reason why I said “nobody cares” under the persona comment is because he/she said he/she would need to be on anti depressants an I thought it was nobody’s business.
