I really enjoyed your work in the "I Am Alive" documentary. Incredibly interesting, and it helped make that documentary one for the ages.

Mr Pena, thank you for all the work that you do in bringing those of us who would love to do the same, but cannot for many different reason's. I have great fascination for the single utmost amazing human endurance struggle that has ever happened. I hope your blessed in being able to bring us more story's. It must be so rewarding to get to know these amazing people. God bless!

I still remember this movie was I was a young kid. Crazy to think your at that point where so much suffering took place, like it almost never happened.

I’m late to this video. Not saying you are wrong about the impact point, but as an airline pilot let me tell you faced with mountains and trying to get over them, the pilots didn’t have time to do anything except add max power and pull up. I am positive they never had a chance to try and aim for a low point.

Hi Richard. this story has lasted a long time like TITANIC and CHERNOBLY, it will be around forever because of the surviving passengers and how they lived and found civilization again.

Mr. Pena, I believe I read somewhere that not all the bodies of the crash victims were ever recovered after the rescue. Have you ever seen any indication of human remains on or around the impact zone?

Good question I too watch the film if the history going how the survivors telling probably was hide because I don't see they speak about those partners died very sad here in brazil the television talk about the acident but never telling where be the remainds all the others bodies never the survivors organized one expedicion for search sometimes going or place and make one reporting this not interesting because the world watch for tv or ears for radio the notice debt be partial

I would be very interesting to understand the vast distances from one peak to another.. I'd assume it's at least 25 to 30ish miles or so as you're looking back at the direction the airplane was coming from.. correct me if I'm wrong. I retract my comment.. this is not the peak that the UAF 571 crashed on.. It was the peak past his left.. That is all i can say. the families' don't want the public to know the exact location .. it is sacred.

I recently saw the movie "Alive" and I believe the plane not disintegrating was a miracle with no scientific explanation .... as if they were divinely protected by Gods grace . A beautiful story of survival.

Anita Luca oh yeah god really saved them so they could starve to death or eat their fellow man, couldn’t have been that the plane was well engineered
@hedgehog1965uk5 жыл бұрын
Seriously? So God couldn't just give the under-powered Fairchild enough extra lift to get them completely over the ridge and save them all? He was a bit halfhearted in his divine protection wasn't he?
@GiordanDiodato5 жыл бұрын
I believe it's because the pilots tried to pull up. If they hadn't, and the plane hit head-on, it would have been no survivors. Just look at the crash of Thai Airways 311 to see what happens when a plane hits head-on with a mountain.
