I'm guessing the 66 30 on the big cap and 66 31 on the pcb are date codes. So ~30th week of 1966.

Q3 is the oscillator. It is called blocking oscillator. Q1 just regulates the oscillations of Q3 by controlling the voltage on the 'cold' end of the feedback winding. The dual transistor, and Q1, together form primitive opamp circuit. Try understanding the circuits you work with. Sometimes just bare understanding of principle can help you fix the problem, even without service manual.

I contacted a person that specializes in service manuals and converts them to pdf it's Artek . He is going to try to find that manual for the earlier 6200.

Thank you Robert. With the proper manual this should be a relatively easy repair. I will check with Artek. I have used his service in the past and he makes quality reprints.
