The Fairchild Seventy 07 uses large Moviepak cartridges or cassettes containing an endless loop of Super 8 Sound film to provide a simple way of sharing your sales and training material to your audience. The unit is housed in a compact case which resembles a suitcase or briefcase. In this video, I demonstrate what it took to get it working again and demo a few films.
Special thanks again to Steve C.!!!!

Amazing blast from the past! Love to see these analogue devices get the love! Great overview! I grew up in a time when film was used in school whether it was a 16mm film projector and or a film strip projector. the concept of a portable projector and screen is great! Thanks for sharing!

If you touch the bulb, lick it after it has been on for 30 minutes. This fixes everything.

Wow, I can imagine some Bond super villian's cronie bringing this into the Whitehouse to outlay their ransome for 1 million dollars! This is really awesome and just as impressive as any feat of minaturisation achieved today.

Well done, I just found one of these things in my dads boxes that we have been storing for the past 40 years. You provide an excellent presentation of what this machine does and how to repair it. Now I just have to figure out what to do with this one. Any suggestions? Thanks again

Funny thing about that VW is that it was still being produced this century, and you can still buy brand new parts for it from VW, plus there is an active aftermarket spares support for it as well.

You should put up flickering warning, the first time you ran the projector was rough.

New mic sounds great! Very impressive picture quality on this unit considering all the mirror bounces, would love to see it run some non-faded film if you can find a way to replace the film inside the cartridges.

There are only two places on that type of lamp you shouldn't touch, first is the lamp capsule itself, this is the bulb inside the reflector, if you touch this, it can be cleaned with alcohol prior to placing into service. Even more important is to not touch the shiny surface (inside) of the reflector, trying to wipe off the fingerprint may damage the reflective coating. You can safely touch the outside of the lamp including the base. This applies to halogen bulbs. The older incandescent types do not have any restrictions on touching as they are made of glass not quartz. This of course assumes cool lamps, hot lamps obviously should not be touched due to the burn hazard.

18:40 because you know those $&@! Italian drivers are a menace on the road! Bit seriously that’s a neat little machine! The back projection reminds me of a machine I used in first grade. It ran on a film strip and audio cassette. It would display a math problem and It asked you to push a series of four buttons. One of them being the correct answer. I have no idea how to look it up because I have no clue what it was called. It doesn’t help that I’m going off 38 year old memories of a six year old.
