I was going to sign up with Faire but the thing is my handmade bags are going to take time to finish because they are handmade and meticulously done with best products, artistically done , I have artisans who are very skilled who can work on small or big quantities, also if I get a big order I can hire more artisans that is not a problem, the concern for me is I make sure my bags are well done , well designed, well finished etc…. All that take a little time , so that will be great if you had a segment for handcrafted handmade products where it gives us time to finish our work , I design the bags , I give to the artisans to do beautiful art on the front of the bags , then manufactured well then shipped…….. Some products can be done quickly but my handmade products/ bags are meticulously done and price wise , they can be sold pretty expensive because they are unique. Any answer will help , I want to put my handmade bags on Faire and would like to get more time to get the products delivered. Thanks 🙏

hi guys. lead time 1-3 days. How can you make an order so fast? i need at least a few weeks to sew. Quite crazy is someone can get an item to you in 1-3 days . Only amazon prime might be possible. Even with DHL express it takes 5 days. Is this even a thing 1-3 days ?

After a lot of deliberation, and a pretty pushy sales woman (who is now ignoring our calls and emails)..., we finally signed up to Faire wholesale. A few weeks in, we cannot get answers to our questions and feel like we have been 'abandoned' since we went live with our store. Listening to this webinar, it is clear that there was a LOT of misinformation. We had voiced our concerns being an ethical clothing company that does not make massive batches of product and so our main scenario was 'make to order' and delivery in 6-8 weeks. We cannot get our questions answered around the nuances of this and this video clearly talks about 'fast lead times' as being the key way to get orders. Also, all the suggestions seem to lead to 'give us your stockists' and discount your products (further). Our margin is already miniscule (again being an ethical business we pay our makers well). Furthermore, it seems IMPOSSIBLE to be discovered on the platform and it's 'chicken & egg' - until you have a load of orders you can't rank. Right now, this feels like a complete scam. Very upset to have wasted our time and definitely not up for handing over our hard-won stockists if we aren't going to be able to stay on the platform. If you're considering going on Faire - and you don't carry a load of inventory, my advice is to stay well away.
