This brings a tear to my eye. They should never have split in the first place. Fights over royalties, money and the division of PRS cheque percentages are the root of all evil and cloud the substance of the actual music. Often wondered about that original second album (not “Ay Fond Kiss” B sides collection).

Ironically, I was pulling out my archived albums and thought of how much I enjoyed Fairground Attraction. On a whim, I looked up anything online about the group and was elated to learn that just this month, September 2024, they have NEW MUSIC! I am overjoyed that they still have the sound and style that makes this group one of my all time favorites. Great work!

I got to listen to Fairground Attraction on a show called Multitrack Two from the World Service of the BBC in the late 1980s. I worked for an FM Station at the time. I remember when the album came out and the song 'Perfect' got a lot of airplay. I'm very happy to see them back after 35 years.
