Those spinning floor discs look like a death sentence for anyone with hair longer than a boys summer cut.

I can’t imagine if your hair got caught between the rotators. I can already see it with eating clothes. Punching fingers (we all know kids won’t follow rules of safety of hands positions)

Standards! You didn’t leave the house untidy, there were dress codes and social expectations of what to where to what type of event at what time of day.

People bought their clothes from specialist retailers or tailors, now a lot of people wear just branded sportswear, baggy jogging pants were never meant to be attractive.

In those days you had to be willing to be bunched up against many other people for some of those rides. Can’t see that happening now. Only in queues, and that’s maddening enough.

They lived a vibrant life full of ups & downs, aren't drugged, & brainwashed to be fearful of anything out of their comfort zone. Sometimes I think the biggest difference between these people & modern society is that they knew there was no such thing as safety in the world but moderns have been taught to fear nonexistent threats & are distracted away from the very threat that DOES exist. A power-mad, overreaching government.
