My then 11-year-old daughter and I took the train from Michigan to Toronto in 1992 and stayed here. It was a trip to remember!

Nice tour. The hotel lobby is so huge. Probably the best and the most beautiful one i've seen in toronto.. But the 'good morning' greeting in 4:29 I'm like 'what?!' 😁😁..and then there you go...

@@I34R Hmm Might be a little more strict during COVID, but the restaurants are public places. At Christmas, everyone comes inside to take a picture of the tree and decorations!! :) :)

We are staying at the Royal York in March of 25 for a couple of nights before boarding the Canadian to cross Canada. We are staying at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for three nights at the other end of our train journey. Your video tour is getting me really excited for our visit. BTW, I have my Accor account setup.

Use to travel from Battle Creek Michigan USA to Toronto by Amtrak Train and stay at the Royal York Hotel. Love the Hotel.

This building has a Sub Basement, the floor above is the Arcade, then a Lobby, the floor above is the Main Mezzanine, then there is a Concourse Level, then there is a Pool on Heath Club Level, then 1-11 are Room Floors, 12-17 are Fairmont Gold Floors, the 18th floor is the Upper Canada Room, the 19th floor is the Executive Meeting Rooms, Floors 20-22 are Engine Rooms, Floors 23-25 are Attics, then the 26th floor is the Roof.

Actually this was the very first life sized gingerbread house at Fairmont Royal York, created by chef jW Foster inspired by New York brownstone. Stood 25 feet high and 6 feet deep, it held 4,500 gingerbread bricks 500 pounds of royal icing. The inside was designed by @FrankReaEventDesigns
