Aluminum foil! Brilliant! I've been using floral foam, meticulously "shaving" it to fit inside the cup, poking in realistic looking artificial succulents. I'll try foil "filling" with a layer of foam on top. Thank you 😊

Love your tutorial. I just thought I'd pass on the information I got from another clay artist. To help keep your hands clean keep a scrap ball of white clay NOT AIR DRY, lol about the size of a large gumball and after your surface is clean and you've washed your hands use the ball of clay to roll between your hands and even nails and cuticles! It has completely distressed me when I approach my clay projects. Also I wear a top that doesn't have lint or tiny particles that can come off and fly around. If you look under a desk lamp or just ray of light from outside , its amazing how much tiny debris is in our air floating around with the dust. Plus I have two dogs that must craft with me. But this info about the hands cuts way back on dirty clay!!! Blessings on all your endeavors, and I have subscribed and will share when possible!!!

Thanks for the tips, Tracy! I've tried the white clay scrap to help clean your fingers. I'm terribly guilty of wearing black sweaters and letting my cats in my studio, so just try to avoid projects that require pristine whiteness, lol.

So cute. I can relate to your story about time and output. I spend an evening working with clay and at bedtime I show my husband the one lovely bead I made. I'm always trying to explain what takes so long. It just does.

Yes, it just does! We always seem to underestimate the amount of time something will take. I've found if I'm guessing, say 3-4 hours, I should take the low number and double it. Most of the time that turns out to be accurate. :-D

I would really like to do this but the sound is do low. I can't hear you.
@SandyHuntress6 жыл бұрын
Yes, sorry about that. I had sound issues for a brief time there. You could turn on closed captions. I've edited them, so they are accurate. Hope that helps!

why is your volume so low?
@SandyHuntress3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that! I think this video is from some time ago when I was trying out a new microphone. I only used it a couple times because of the volume issue.

Love those...My next clay project! BTW Sandy The Audio was much worst for me on this video.

Glad you like the project, Beth! And thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the audio. What about it made it worse for you?

The voice is so soft I can barely hear you verses your other previous videos

Thanks for getting back to me. We're working on getting the levels to a better place. Can you turn it up to hear it? Sometimes I've found videos with sound that is too low are better heard with headphones.
