One big theory I’ve seen is that Ankhselam doesn’t actually exist and the curse is simply a side effect of messing with life/death magic. Which is why we’ve never seen or heard him directly and why he’s so far above any of the Gods we have seen in Fairy Tail.

@@danielokere3503 We also haven't seen or heard from the other 16 Battle Gods of Yakuma, but we know they exist in the show, nonetheless. We saw Minerva summon 1 during the GMG arc & Natsu just recently defeated another 1 in this current arc. But we still know there are 16 others. Just cause we haven't seen/heard from Ankhselam doesn't negate his existence.

@@xiamariansupreme72 Not saying that is absolute proof or anything, it’s just a theory. The battle gods of Yakuma aren’t all that strong, Natsu one-shot one, and while the time god Chronos was more impressive, it was still beaten by third-origin Shelia. Ankhselam on the other hand, has absolutely no presence in the series outside of the curse, and is so powerful that nothing in the world can overcome him or his curse outside of primordial love. Even if he does exist, he’s seems more like a natural force than an actual being, unlike the other gods we’ve seen.

One of the worst things about Zeref leaving Mavis was that if he allowed himself to truly care his curse would have likely killed Fairy Tail then and there. Hence him just dropping her body and leaving. The Tenrou Tree was probably something that Warrod made with his own magic to mark what he thought was Mavis's grave. Something I found interesting was that most of the seven kin of purgatory, who were all mages taught by Hades/Precht, had magics that could have been potential solutions to Mavis's problem.

The Tenrou tree already existed before Mavis met Warrod and the others, maybe he injected it with his magic, but the tree was already there before him.

@@PirateJunglerLOL Maybe Warrod is really the reason why the Tenrou tree is capable of granting power and protect all those who have the Fairy Tail mark. Unless Mavis was the one to do it. After all, Tenrou is her homeland and, since she is the only survivor and the island was the meeting point for the four founders of Fairy Tail, maybe she turned it into a safe haven for the guild.

The "dragonoid" you mentions do actually exist, and that's the essence of Dragon Force mode. Any Dragon Slayer who taps into Dragon Force will attain some dragon characteristic, the most common is the appearance of scales on some part of their body.

One rather unpleasant way to deal with Zeref would be, to cut his body up and bury the pieces far away from each other. Judging by Mavis, who suffers from the same curse, it is possible to more or less permantently render him unconscious. I would think that decapitation would do that and burying him far aprt would ensure he's very unlikely to ever be reassembled again. His consciousness might pop out like a pseudo-ghost similar to Mavis, but knowing him, he would probably prefer that over running around with his body, killing people at random. If however this doesn't render him unconscious and leaves him fully aware without becoming a disembodied ghost... I'd call the whole operation off. Burying someone for the rest of eternity, while he's fully conscious is just too cruel.

Remember, when Mavis first got cursed and he found her in the woods, Zeref said even cutting off her head won't kill her. So, decapitation doesn't even stop them from living. I suppose they would still be able to live the same, like a headless chicken.

Doesn't the flashback retcon Tenrou Island a bit? Before Zeref killed Hades, he acted surprised like he'd never met him before. Hades was under the impression that Zeref had been "asleep" for years. Then this flashback happens which kinda contradicts everything...

I think Zeref had been through so much trauma, and it had been MANY years since he last saw Hades when bringing back Mavis' body, that he probably forgot who Hades was. Also, Hades looked different in the Tenrou arc than he did back in Fairy Tail's early days, considering MANY decades had gone by. And, Hades hadn't seen Zeref since then either and I guess the rumor everywhere, since nobody had proof, was that Zeref had gone dormant, so he was understandably shocked to see Zeref suddenly pop up on his airship.

Zeref most likely didn't recognize him but even if he did it wouldn't matter. He still wanted to punish him. He's not gonna just let him go of all his crimes because he taught him magic. Hades acted like he knew Zeref and after all the rumors of Zeref being evil and creating demons, Hades just assumed that Zeref was asleep when he first met him.

This is a spoiler: When the 2 curses collided, they created a contradiction but not that of killing an immortal, but rather a new Life was created, later it is known that Mavis is pregnant, but there was no physical time for her and Zeref they did it. That baby was born inside Mavis as a result of the clash of curses, 2 curses that should kill create a new life. Mavis was left in that state of Coma/suspended animation, since when this happened, the baby "absorbed" all of Mavis' life force, leaving her in that state. Mavis thinks that she died because Zeref's curse was stronger, because she does NOT know that she had a son. And it is easy to know that this is so (the lake moment is not canon, it is not in the manga, it is just a cover) and also if Mavis had died at that moment, August would have also died in his mother's womb. Mavis never died, she was left in "suspended animation" that's why August developed inside Mavis' womb and was able to be born.

Maybe because Mavis might still love Zeref and Fairy Law works depends on what your heart see or felt, reason when Laxus tried to used it before when he was still an enemy, It didn't work.

@@banarkoy4264 That is very true. When Laxus used Fairy Law, he really wanted to obliterate both his guildmates and the townspeople. He only failed because his heart betrayed him, since the nature of the spell could sense the love he still had for all of Magnolia, including Fairy Tail. Even if Mavis considers Zeref her enemy now, it doesn't mean she stopped loving him. As for Fairy Glitter... I think the reason is the same one as Makarov ended up not using Fairy Heart to destroy the Faces. Fairy Glitter by itself is already too powerful. I mean, just watch Cana using it during the Grand Magic Games. If they lost control over it... well, the result could be catastrophic.

And for someone to hold your hand without expecting anything in return, Grandpa Makarov was a great teacher at the time when everyone didn't turn their back on Mavis 😭🤝👆, epic battles are coming, the Alvares empire has secrets that will make your heads explode if Tartaros was great.... Better said It was an appetizer and they already gave us a preview of the festival in the magical games.... Everything happened for a reason and Zeref was just preparing the final battle ⚖️
