I watched anime when I was a kid whenever it was on, but watching Fairy Tail for the first time about two years ago gave me mass appreciation for the genre. No other form of media will ever hit as hard as this show. My new budgies are named Happy and Carla, so I guess you could say that I started a Fairy Tail guild in my house 😃 For real tho, the people who are super passionate about this show and it’s characters are likely the ones that see themselves in those characters. Fun fact: fairy tail is the first fandom ive seen with so much support. I feel like even if i dont know half of people here i could still make friends. Fairytail actually changed my life in many ways. If i didn't start it, i would probably be dead by now. Right now I'm at the final season and it hasn't been much time since i started but this one year of watching fairytail almost everyday was the best one of my life even with school being a b!tch and my early signs of neurodivergence. I love how this song can be played for any occasion in the anime. Tone it down and play it slower and it's perfect for the heartwarming/sad scenes. Play it faster with more vigor and it perfect as a battle/kick ass theme. You really can do anything with it. Wow, this brings me back, after all those amazing fights through the 300+ episodes I watched, my mind is pulled back to episode 1.A blonde high spirited girl trying to join a guild. A weird pink haired man with his blue flying cat. That moment, where we saw the power of a dragon slayer, when he invited Lucy to Fairy tail. I'm not completely sure but one thing is probably the unnecessary amount of fanservice, a decent amount is plausible but when it's in fight scenes for no reason whatsoever or just completely unrealistic, it tends to bug some people. Everyone has their own opinions, some might not like the protagonist, some might not like the romantic ships/scenes/etc, each to there own ^^

I couldn't "appreciate the little things" anymore cuz it was that bad and annoying for me. Doesn't mean I hate Fairy Tail, I just felt that I wasn't the target group they had intented for the show. I've watched a lot of top anime in the past 10 years, started with adult swim showing shows like Tri Gun, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, etc... I've watched One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, GunSword, heck I've watched a lot of anime probably not as much as others in this comment section have. But I have never felt so much while watching an anime like I do when Watching Fairy Tail... That's why Fairy Tail has stolen the top spot in my list of my top Anime. Just like they stole back the top spot as NUMBER ONE GUILD.

Dracathio bro, I can’t like this comment enough. I’m the exact same. God bless Adult Swim and Toonami for opening America’s eyes to all that is anime. I can’t believe that they haven’t had a block for Fairy Tale, especially considering that they’ve showed all the other major Shonen anime, even Black Clover. They’re missing out on showing a legendary story to the younger generation. Hopefully Fairy Tale gets its own block soon

Maybe i had too high expectations. Idk. Imo it was way too long and i got bored quickly. Sure there were entertaining fights every now and then, but the wait to get to them was really boring and long (and ik that a lot of shounen have this problem, but this was the 2nd shounen i watched so it was somewhat new to me). The amount of boringness outweighed the amount of entertainment for me. Also, i liked some characters, but i also didnt like a lot of the characters. Natsu was just an idiot so i couldnt really like him at all. I can tolerate a mild amount of bad and lazy writing, but FT had way too much bad and lazy writing and it was too much for me, and dont even get me started on ‘the power of friendhip’. If u liked it, then that’s great, i have nothing against u. But i personally did not enjoy this anime

I like how simple anime themes can be, but so good. This has the same underlying melody as al the other fairytail songs, plus a beat and electric guitar. That continuity brings a feel that this is Fairytail, and nothing else

This theme is a really weird outlier tbh. It's straight up folk metal. Never heard anything even remotely similar in any other anime. I wish they had more similar music instead of just riffing off of the one theme, but it's a damn good theme. Eluveitie has a song that hits kind of similar to this (they're folk metal, and lots of tin whistle, like this), but frankly this is better. I wish the song I'm thinking of went more in this direction, but it didn't.
