That's a solid battery size for a lower-end EV. It has a longer range and bigger battery than my EV6. The charging doesn't come close though.

You should check again about the availability of a HUD and digital rearview camera. I would certainly like those, but currently there is no way to order them or other items in the owner's manual such as a 120 volt outlet, automatic folding mirrors, and the Surround Vision Recorder.

As a former Equinox EV hopeful and someone who used to hype the heck out of it, the base LT model is the only true appealing option for this. I was looking forward to a 2LT (for adaptive cruise control, it is a must for me in a vehicle now), but it being more than $8,000 additional killed any desire for me to get it. This is honestly what pushed me to get a Tesla Model Y earlier this year. Unless you absolutely need some physical buttons, the Tesla Model Y just makes more sense (except the base LT Equinox EV).

Yep, same here. When they announced they were delaying 1LT production until late this year, I just went ahead and bought a used Model Y Performance for cheaper than the 1LT. After hearing how slow the fwd version of this is, Im thinking I made the right upgrade Haha. I do think Chevy nailed the styling on this though!

I'm also interested in a 2LT for the same reason. What concerns me is the data collection. I'm waiting on an answer from Chevy with information on what data is collected, how the data is used and whether the collection can be paused or turned off.

My issue with charging ports on the front left is it makes street charging challenging (and it would seem GM is making no regard for Europe). Curbside parking EV charging is becoming more prominent, and having your charge port on the rear right makes that easiest to manage.

@@jayhawker2363 the Ioniq 5 is the other car that has my attention. The 2025 now has a rear wiper and the battery size has been increased. I'm hoping the $7,500 incentives they're currently offering will still be available once the the 2025s hit the showroom.

I believe the epa ordered them to lower their estimates after auditing them. They didnt drop the range estimates much, but there are widespread complaints about their cars not getting near the advertised range. And the fact that they created a team whose sole job was to cancel service appointments on people who experienced that was a bit shady.

TY ur fine site gives this ole DAV some hope 4 new?er?? vehicle if I live long nuff. Was ChevY Fan thru HS & Military yrs. a 58 impala-64 covertible65 impala etc. Drove classics into earfly 90's then passed them onto g/kids. So needa-wanna- Chevy anything 2 git on down road now! Was trying to hold for a 2025 bolt if "Price is Rite" till then lumber along N 2016 versa peddling aas fast as it goes TY ;)

One thing I've realized about these cars: Supercruise and Adaptive Cruise Control are the same system. If supercruise goes down, it takes ACC with it. Then you actually have to feel the entire weight of driving these cars without assistants. And that ain't fun.

The problem is charging stations. I often come across people struggling to find a charging station. Recently, last weekend at the hotel I was staying there was a lady running out of juice here in Texas and she said "I regret trading by suburband for this car, and I just got it today " .

He doesn’t mention the cost of the Google apps and Maps. You get the maps for 8 years, but I’m not sure about the apps. You might need a data plan after 3 years. Since there is no CarPlay I wish reviewers made this clear. As far as I can tell there is no head up display offered. Over all I think this is a good EV, just kind of mediocre when it comes to horsepower and charging compared to some of the competition.

These will be leased more compared to being bought. So in that aspect all of that will be free for the length of the lease. These will have terrible resale value and I cant imagine why someone would buy or finance one of these for like 60 or 72 months.

I bought a '24 Tesla Model Y dual motor for $41.5K. It still has more room, usable frunk, a superior infotainment system, more power (100hp more), better 0-60, also qualifies for the $7500 and no dealership hassles. Don't think this will kill any Tesla sales.

@@mowcowbell No one who is buying the Equinox Ev cares about 0-60. People like you need to get that through your head. They are trying to mass market this car. Plenty of surveys have been done about frunks and guess what very few care about that either even Tesla owners themselves. You are only thinking about yourself. Insurance on a Tesla is crazy for one and for two not everyone has a service center nearby compared to having a Chevy dealer nearby for service.

@@PowerNGlory I'm one of those that doesn't really care too much about the 0-60 speeds as long as it's reasonable. I think the sunken area under the cargo cover makes up for the absence of a frunk.
