Hello all!!! It’s frosty here in Ireland today! Hope you are all well and happy... For anyone concerned about charging batteries in the drawer. In Ireland we have different plugs, sockets and regulations than in other countries so it is safe. Check out any links to other videos above in the description box! Have a magical week and thanks for watching! 🎈🌹❤️

Corralling your chargers is still a good idea. If you did this in a box with a lid you could take the lid off overnight. Or replace it with a gridded lid the air can come through.

My dad taught me how to replace plugs as well. He also taught me how to use power tools, etc.. It was a great sense of empowerment. I wish all dads would teach their daughters about power tools, and all moms their sons how to cook, and sew.

It's funny cause my mom is more of the handyman, she was born in a family of 8 kids, so it was essential that her dad made sure that each kid knew how to rely on themselves if any project was needed.

Sorry but I think boys should do what they are drawn to, which is more rugged pursuits than sewing. The Rockefellers funded 2nd wave feminism to undermine the traditional family unit for their own nefarious purposes. I used to be a feminist but not anymore. I believe traditional gender roles should be honored as much as possible. Of course everyone should have choices but pushing boys into activities that are traditionally feminine is creating weaklings among our men.

i really like that this doesn’t involve getting rid of anything to declutter, or putting it away in storage and making it less accessible. everything is still just as convenient to access when you need them, it just makes everything look better and less overwhelming. i find tips like this much more useful than ones that talk about how to just get rid of things, since there’s a lot of things that you use and need every day but still might be overwhelming to look at !

Seeing how my husband was raised by his Grandmother I can nearly instantly tell when someone was raised by a Grandparent. They just have a different way about them, an old soul. Oh how I wish I could have met any of my Grandparents! We as a society have failed our kids. Giving them a soda and an iPad and telling them to go to their room is teaching and benefitting them ZERO. THANK YOU for this channel. I love it. And as always, MORE please 🤣🥰🥰

yes l agree, we can learn so much from the elderly. you could always adopt a grandparent, and listen to the stories about riding 11-12 hours in a buggy drawn by a horse. Going to town once a month and getting supplies. The millennium generation do not use their imagination and they are entertained all the time. what are they going to do when the Comet gets close enough to cause a EMP? The Corina is really man made virus from the flu virus. It how the NWO is coming in control. In China the 1 millions of people that died, it was nothing to corina. The 5-G network had just been put in that city, and they used it a a bio weapon. If you crank up the 5G, it will deplete the oxygen in your organs and when he gets to your brain it will cause people to fall down dead. Don't get tested for the covid, on the end of the swab is a Nano chip. it can track you, and it will change your DNA, and everything a Microchip can do. This is the Mark of the beast. when it first came out Bill Gated had it patent and its HR 060606. Now they are not mad in the image of our creator. The false prophet is Pope Francis. Try vitamin B1 for anxiety. Also magnesium. Try an Epsom salts bath before bed. And B6 for better focus if you need that. Niacin can also help with depression. Get outside and get some sun and fresh air daily. Nature is very calming. If you stay busy it helps. Fix things around your house, maintain the things you own. There is still barter, volunteering, and making things for yourself that you need. Learn a skill like a hobby, like: sewing, knitting, cooking from scratch, baking sourdough bread, sprouting seeds, fermenting sauerkraut or Kim chi, making soap, making candles, creating some artwork that you like, plant a garden, grow some fresh cut flowers for flower arrangements, go foraging for local plants, learn to fish, learn to hunt. Learn carpentry and build a shelf, or chair or table or wooden toys. Learn to play an instrument, to sing, to whistle, to play the mouth harp (very tiny instrument you can just keep in your pocket.) You can learn to cut your family's hair, how to groom a dog, how to detail a car, how to change your own oil and air filters, how to give a manicure to someone in your household. Get all your learning curve done during the lockdowns, make your mistakes, have fun with it. When this is all over, you can earn some money right away doing any of these things, instead of waiting for some big company to get their act together.

I like all your ideas and do many myself. I like to use baskets and have side tables or end stands with storage. I also like to put my produce in or on cute plates or bowls. I also hate cords and love that you are recharging as far from your bedroom as you can. I have a lot of neutral tones too but I do have little splashes of color here and there, but I am putting out less decor than I used to yet still enjoying changing things up for the seasons. I like to put dish soap in a glass soap dispenser so it looks better than the plastic bottles. I keep my nail polishes and make up in baskets, so I can always put them away but not have to drag out a bunch of items. Your home feels very relaxing. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely video. That hack for hiding all the charging cables was excellent. I actually think a little pop of colour does not necessarily create visual clutter. I know you like a neutral palette in your home (as I do myself) but I think colourful cushions, or a colourful throw, could still look good on your sofa.

You don't even know how much I appreciated you using that old blanket to cover your stool!!! So many minimalists and frugal bloggers just get rid of EVERYTHING, and it just makes me a little sick that stuff that you paid good money for, and you know will have a use sometime, they just toss out! You have an uncluttered abode, yet still keep things. I love this, and kudos to you. P.S. I noticed at the end that you brought that candle into your bedroom, that I was afraid you'd just gotten rid of...appreciate that too. It just seems that some people's ideas of minimalism borders on waste and filling up landfills! Like, you know they aren't going to "pass on" a half-used candle, they would just toss it. I really appreciate your aesthetic.

did the very same thing with cords last summer, on our bedside tables and on our kitchen counter (where I hid them all in a wooden wine box), never been happier about drilling holes in furniture :) wishing you the brightest 2021!

Thank you so much for that tip of keeping things in sets of THREE! That idea really excited me, I'm going to try it when I clean my room soon. Also liked the tip of putting whatever you can in trays or baskets etc to make them look more organized or to conceal them, and the tip of keeping countertops as clear as possible. I'm going to implement those 3 things in my room! Love this video.

Great tips! I need to find more baskets for storage. They're a bit hard to come by where I live, but I collect as I can. I am not a naturally neat person and I have so many hobbies and interests, which all come with 'stuff'. This inspires me to go through my house and try to contain things in pretty baskets and boxes. God bless!

I love your tidy cottage, unfortunately my crochet 🧶 began it’s life in a basket but I cannot resisted wool and have now 7 baskets full of WIP for one day. I need to take a lesson on discipline and realise I don’t need that much wool near at hand !!. I really look forward to your calming videos you make it all so serene.

We have 7 degrees Fahrenheit and a nor'easter hitting us - snowing for 17 hours straight and we have 11 hours more to go - it comes with the territory, so I am not complaining - gives one time to bing watch your channel - which I love. Clutter - I have several sheds in the back and I took down everything that was not of use in my house and put them in the shed; after 6 months, if I didn't go after them - gave them away. Go shopping with a list so you don't "pick" up more clutter for the house and if you really want it, wait two days and if you still "need" it, buy it. In the summer, take what you can out of your house, make the house empty (minus stove and refrigerators and such) and bring back in only the necessities and at the same time rearrange things, don't put things back where you got them from, try to look for new/better locations. The things you don't bring back in the house, leave outside for a tag/garage/yard sale.

I have been watching your videos for a couple hours now and just wanted to tell you how lovely your home is. I can not believe anyone lives in a home that looks straight from a magazine or ad for Pinterest. How long did it take you to get it so perfect without buying anything new? Simply lovely. Your voice would be amazing on a meditation soundtrack. Have you thought of making a meditation video?

I like your suggestions in how to reduce visual clutter using baskets and wooden boxes to contain things as well as neutral colors that harmonize together. As an artist I tend towards visual abundance and things can easily become visually overwhelming. I have a basket filled with my rolled-up fleece throws, which I've placed at the foot of my bed for easy access. Last night I recovered a cushion with a purple and blue Guatemalan place mat, as its colors go better with my new navy bedspread. I also love your hidden socket tucked into a drawer to recharge your electronic devices out of sight. Great idea! Jenny

Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️. Just wanted to tell you that bench you have all the chargers in now is called a Telephone bench. Back when telephones were popular inside the home in the USA they had one phone installed in the home and would set it up on a table and chair but then someone designed a telephone table and it was a all in one bench like you’ve got. A place for the telephone a place to sit and chat and a drawer for the phone book and pen and paper to take down messages with. So I think it’s neat you taking yours and turning it into a charging station.

I loved this video for many reasons. The aesthetics are so smooth and calming. I adore your color schemes for the home; I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and colors are definitely effective to help ease the mind. My room has light grey, creams, browns and a few black pieces scattered about and I am simply amazed at the number of clients that walk in this tiny treatment room and say, "Oh man! I'm just going to stay in here for the night. It's so peaceful and relaxing." It's the SIMPLE things in life we tend to overlook. God bless you and everyone and stay safe and healthy.

Lovely video, thank you from Canada. I am clutter free, always have been, but every once in a while even I need to edit. Did that last weekend after buying some real plants (small with interesting pots). Needed to remove a couple of things, and now the plants look great where they are placed. Hope you are having a nice weekend. It has been very cold in Calgary (-20 to -32C) and of course we have snow. Having said that, we are over the hump and hoping for an early spring and warm summer!!
