I love different bits of both. Fairyloot for the reversible dust jacket and naked hardback and then Owlcrate for the end pages and sprayed edges. Fairyloot next month is doing a completely redesigned cover so it'll look totally different from the normal UK design. At first I didn't realize the books were gonna be the same as they have different names for the US and UK editions. It is surprising how much they're doing the same books. Normally, they only do the same book like 3 times a year.

I like the owlcrate dust jacket better but I'm obsessed with the hardcover foil on this one!!

I absolutely loved both boxes this month. Such useful and awesome items. As for the books , I loved both but without the dust jacket I love the fairyloot one.

Not a fan of this dust jacket and edges at all, but the naked book is a win for me. For the merch, especially like the planter and pin, however, I liked the HMC pin more. Thank you for another delightful unboxing!💕

So I like everything better about the owlcrate book. The only thing I wish was different was that the naked hardcover was like the cover on fairly loot

The fairy loot cover is ugly in my opinion. I don't think they really did any changes because they probably believe that you weren't going to keep the cover that you were just going to keep it naked because the undercover is beautiful. It looks like a fairy tale like the classic Disney princess movies where the opening would be a book. It looks like that

Owlcrate has the better cover and endpages. Fairy Loot has better everything else. Highly recommend Half A Soul, it's a very cosy fairy regency novel. Has a couple spin off sequels too

The items in this box were 100x better, more useful, and high value than the owlcrate box. Besides the Howl pin. I loved that pin. But I was so disappointed in the owlcrate box overall. I agree that dust jacket is bad, but the naked book is beautiful!

I usually prefer Owlcrate, but Fairyloot's January box was definitely the winner for me, it has so many useful items. Although I prefer Owlcrate's book

Thanks for the unboxing. I rarely have a box that I dislike as much as this one but good god it was awful. Owlcrate nailed it so much better. The foiling would have been a better cover

It's one book with two names... it's called The Crimson Moth in the UK (Fairyloot) & Heartless Hunter in the US (OwlCrate )

With the reversible dust jacket art (cause I agree the normal one is not great), Fairyloot wins hands down for me. It seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I really didn’t like the OwlCrate dust jacket. I would have rather had a color variation on the original than what they did. Though the foiling was a very nice touch on their endpapers.

As many book subscribers Fairy Loot has it’s unfair to expect the author to sign every book.
