The reason why Owlcrate book is heavier is they used the library weight paper which is heavier and also smoother to hold up to repeated reading better. Fairyloot uses trade paper which is lighter and rougher and is mainly used for private books because the paper doesn’t last as long but is cheaper to make and also makes the books lighter to save on shipping costs. I actually prefer the Owlcrate book because I’m not a big pink book fan. My name is Kate, I am from the US and I would like to go to the Burrow. 🐊🐊🐊

It's also annotated the back, so instead of a signed book, it's annotated by the author. So a nice bonus.

I love the FairyLoot cover but the naked OwlCrate. I like the color scheme of the FL but the cartouches on the OC naked cover. And though the OC edges are pretty, I prefer the tan color scheme again of the FL. It reminds me of the buildings of ancient Egypt more.

Hello I just discovered your videos as I’m trying to decide which subscription to go for (I already received emails from both to let me know I’m out of the waitlist and have a few days to decide) thanks for your opinions!! I would recommend the Fourth Wing book series if you go in with an open mind, it’s described by the author as an introduction to fantasy for romance reader, but that being said I loved the book, it’s very light to read as it uses modern language and it’s very inclusive in the best way possible (without it being shoved in your face), the people who complain imo are heavy fantasy readers who were expecting a masterpiece of fantasy, but that is not what the book is. If you enjoy light fantasy and romance I would 100% recommend. Again thanks for the video!❤

I love the owlcrate version because the darker esthetic is more on brand for my collection. But I do like the lighter take on it...fine line between getting a book because you want to read it and just that it would look so pretty on my shelves

I am a pink girly but I think the pink doesn’t match the story. It makes me think soft romance. However the darker colors makes me think mystery. Just preference for me because they are both beautiful in the end.

Tarot cards are MCs from Fourth Wing series, mini rant - I read the first book, it was a pretty cool premise, like Hogwarts for dragon riders... but idk maybe I didn't fully like the vibe of the book. The second book I started to read it (first ends with cliffhanger/awkward stop and second picks right up from the first), skimmed a bit through the book and then just read the last chapter 😅 idk I feel like the whole first book and I'm guessing second book had someone dying or trying to kill the MC every other page and then on top of it more and more big bad whatevers around every corner, so maybe what I'm trying to say is that the book felt a bit unbalanced with the amount of conflict, there was so much at every turn it became a chore to follow the story. So idk if I would recommend it 🥲 it's so popular, so maybe I expected it to be AMAZING, instead I was disappointed and it now lives rent free in my head because I still have plot questions that may or may not be answered in some book later in the series 😅😂

I’m maybe harsh, but for me, the Fairyloot cover is just unimaginative and boring, compared to what they could have done with this theme. They definitely put more money in the Adult books.

Not gonna lie but I wasn't a fan of the book. I felt like the romance made zero sense and the only fantasy elements were there to move the plot from A to B. Also there's the not/miscomunication trope. I prefer the Owlcrate in appearance personally. The fairyloot is not the standard uk cover recoloured though which is a bonus for them
