Those qualities combined with her tone, agility, and growl earned her the nickname of the R&B Karen Clark-Sheard. She didn’t showcase those parts of her voice often until much later, so most people-including those who listened to her hits back in the day- don’t know she can BLOW. Far beyond average, but you wouldn’t know that. UNDERRATED 💯
